for posterity:

Personally, I think that the dial is partly restored (tachy scale).

Really?

Just bought this Todd Snyder limited edition Timex a few weeks ago. Truly an iconic company.

This is sillly and pretty much why I'm standing down from UG for a while. This is a 4-6k watch max.

@Larry S maybe this is worth a gamble then with a day and a half left...though seller has not been around on eBay since last year, so tread carefully...

@GuiltyBoomerang subdials hands are wrong, faded dial, 14k, very small ... but the price is attractive
Hands as I am discovering are rare and expensive. The hour hand and hour sub are the only correct hands here. I'm still unsure if this style chrono hand is correct or incorrect. I have a Tri with it, there are warches in Sala with it and have now a replacement from a forum member.

May those hour and minute hands be not correct, but very similar to correct one that we usually see on those watches ? (Feuille hands ?)

The longer I study this and Sala the weirder it gets. What is going on with the seconds sub? Ugh

Original dial and small second hand, the rest of the hands has been replaced. Here is my old watch to compare,

What reference was your watch? At any rate not a project I'd pursue.

Same as the watch in question, 52217.

Thank you for the knowledge @Dre @Larry S and @Florent, this looks to be one to avoid, considering the 0 feedback may be due to scamming:

For those wondering what happens to the eBay account after the seller has been reported and found by eBay to be fradulent. This is what happens.

Before

After

On a lighter note, starting bid price seems ok for this gold capped Polerouter (I know the seller has listed it as 18k, though I have no idea how to determine that :/ )

Looks very much like that, a redial as you say. Printing appears to be thick and lume plots aren't aligned.
And a welcome to the forums, fellow Australian 😀
As for hunting, this one is a redial and the U is crooked - a shame, given the tropical dial :/

Well, I might be able to live with it, if it goes cheap... which it won't.. And thanks, I've been on here a while, I just don't post much.

I think the watchword for Polerouter Subs is "Avoid". They all seem to be franken. This I have learned here on OF.
