I'll much rather get from OF. However the first example u showed, doesn't entice me as much. I prefer the 2nd example but with a black tone/face.

I've been camping the sales forum for sure haha.

Correct as far as I can see apart from moonphase disk and possibly crown . It is the oversize which mounts the larger desirable 287 movement. There are some marks which may be corrosion. Seems to be good overall but will probably need a once over by the watchmaker.

are you sure? what about these points?
- "30" of the seconds scale is in the subdial
- "21" of the day scale is in the day window.
- no circle around the day scale
- 31 not red

Yes , I am ...

-31 is not always red
-21 and 11 is acceptable (remember there are imperfections on some of these dials)
-no circle is also a feature of later printed dials
-30 in subdial concerns me a little but not enough to make it a redial

What is the size of the dial ?

probably a factory furnished 60s dial in line with the model but with subtle differences

I agree with points 1 and 3. But in that case why do you think that the moon disc is wrong? Shouldn't a faceless moon be correct then?!
Concerning the date scale, my impression is that it is quite big in comparison to your examples.

She's an early model with a service dial and service moon dial. Protruding quickset pushers which as I understand were meant not to require a set tool. Crown might be OK ...Regardless I'd budget $1- 2k for service and case work. Salvageable but the current price reflects condition. I'd not pay more than $2800 for this watch. Don't have the bible with me.

Personally, I think that the dial is partly restored (tachy scale).

This is sillly and pretty much why I'm standing down from UG for a while. This is a 4-6k watch max.

I agree. I saw it when it came in, had interest, then I saw the ask. Definately crazy price for this. I'd still love to find a nice SS medico and thst elusive OS SS tri but at the non existent deal!

The has been some damage (possibly water or other) in that area of the dial. However, i do not see any signs of a botched up restoration on scale. It all looks pretty consistent. What you see may well be aberration or distortion caused by watch glass which looks like it could do with replacing ...

@Larry - spot on with guesstimate. I think that $4.2K is a likely tag on that tri.

Seems aggressive to say the least... is the red scale really getting that kind of premium?

I have an 18kt example with the black scale and I do not think it's more than a $4-5k watch, at most.
