UG "Wilhelmina" - unsure about the crown. Thanks to @aap for his photos in letting me identify this one :> http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Watch-UNIVERSAL-GENEVE-swiss-MILITARY-Deutsches-Dienstuhr-WW-II-Cal-262/322625032463?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Looking at universals (couldn't fall asleep) and came across this 18k watch. Looks very similar to the same model Tri compax posted by Larry S. I checked the serial number and this watch is actually 3 digits before his. Studying his watch this one looks to have had the crown replaced and case polished l. Any issues with the dial? Correct on crown ... not even a later UG signed one. Case is polished. Will need a service. What is going on with that dial? 31 looks like smeared red sharpie. Hands are rough. I feel sorry for watches like this. So much potential. If you go for it push hard on that price although it is already significantly lower than what I paid for mine. Crown can be corrected. Dial might be ok to live with while you cast about for a replacement. Hands ... fuggetaboutit!
A compax with fancy lugs. Can't find another one to compare how does this one stack up? https://www.ebay.com/itm/152647754354Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Who likes the printing on this dial for original? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Geneve-22477-Vintage-Aero-Compax-MINT-/162620880877Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network "The original silver dial has painted once-luminous gold baton hour markers around a minute/60-second scale with Arabic numerals every five seconds."
Dial is clean, has beautiful patina and was NEVER refinished ! SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232440166053?ul_noapp=true
Be careful with this one, it's a scam. I bought this exact watch from this seller a few months ago and lost my money. I have contacted the website twice and they won't do anything about it. https://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/1163528620.htm?ca=7_s Letting everyone know so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I've edited it to add the pictures.
Did anyone here snap up this Polerouter sub on eBay? I'm pretty sure the bezel is wrong but I didn't know how easy it would be to source a replacement. Otherwise it looked like a interesting project. These hands are usually seen on the other type of second generation Polerouter Sub but I have seen this combination before. With a new bezel, a relume of dial and hands, a thorough service and polish of what looks to be the original crystal it could look great. I just wasn't sure that after all that work, there was any value left, given that it eventually sold for $3200. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL...EROUTER-SUB-ASYMMETRIC-CAL-1-69-/263148024292Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Not on eBay, however there is a 138SS bumper non date here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexcha..._kabatime_omega_iwc_jaegerlecoultre_longines/ Does have a replacement Omega crown and non-original crystal, however the lugs look good and caseback is neat. If I hadn't purchased one earlier... Pictures here: http://imgur.com/a/KW6nH
