I suspect that the original tachy ring has been repainted as result of moisture damage or for whatever reason. It's probably the correct size.

You could be right, it just looks off to me. But maybe they completely removed original finish and repainted just the numbers. This would also make you wonder why the Lume dots are missing on the dial though. I also just noticed that the dial is marked "SWISS T"...related?

Regardless I'm watching this closely.

here is a shot of mine. Under a loup it looks like the ring was originally painted silver to match the sub dials and the blue numbers painted on top. Note mine does not have T on dial, but both the Ebay listing and the example @Diabolik posted have what appears to be a later added T

This excellent, funky Polerouter Day-Date popped up today on the Bay, and looks to be all original (shield is visible on the crystal). (Looks to be the same as the example on the always-informative time capsule polerouter.de site: http://www.polerouter.de/frameset-shop.htm)

I pulled the trigger, so am looking forward to adding it to the small but growing Polerouter collection.

. pulled the trigger

Very cool - please send us some wrist shots once it arrives. Also, if you have another kind of Polerouter, I'd be interested to see a side-by-side visual comparison with this one. Best wishes,

So did anyone here snag this? I think the price was low relative to the scarcity. Hopefully the tachy ring is correct and just needs a better paint job 😀

$4k cheaper than the initial asking price when it wasn't on eBay.

Hope no one is bidding on this one below, apart from the watch itself, surely OF members already familiar with the seller anyway. But I thought might still say something, just in case.

Ok, I'll give it a try: Minute track font looks different? Tachy scale looks odd? Sub dial fonts not consistent?

To my inexperienced eye, I'd doubt it's an original dial as stated.

I never saw a Cairelli like this. I would say that is a redialed Compur (round 3's, inconsistent numerals font, minute subdial thicker than seconds subdial, indexes 8 and 4 invading the subdials...)

Yes, I also noticed the different fonts are wrong, the scale I´m not sure....
I'm interested as to whether anybody thinks this is a redial; I don't think I've ever seen the name on the dial at 9 and 3 before?

I never seen that before but also I never seen that model before so I´m not sure…. I think it looks weird,

Would love your opinion on these buckles and the crowns in the bottom of the last picture (I know hard to tell from these pictures). Are there actually fake crowns out there?

Here's the recently arrived Day-Date keeping the other Polerouters company. I'm not typically one for square cases, but this may be changing my mind. Cheerio

As they don´t come up often for sale.
A vintage Tri-compax dial in Italy, but I´m not sure if it is original...

Just had a quick view, so you should ask some experts before spending...
