I have never seen a Certina bracelet with C endlinks. DS, X, and D on one side, S on the other, but never just C.
That ebay photo you lifted has X endlinks.

I have seen 5-10 UG gf bracelets with C endlinks - more than I have seen with UX. The numbers don't stack up to me, for them to be incorrect.
I have only seen them on 61 and 62 bracelets so far so it could be related to the dates.

The 22mm U endlinks mentioned earlier are for the first generation polerouter subs with inner rotating bezels, on gf stretch bracelets.
These early stretch bracelets ive seen date stamped 60 to 64 (maybe i saw one 59 stamped, cant remember), the later "rice bead" i have seen date stamped 65 to 72.

Certina is a watch brand. They also use gay Freres bracelet that looks very similar to UG GF bracelet.

Photo from lifted from eBay showing a certina GF bracelet. The styling of the bracelet is the same just that the clasp has different brand on it

Imho, the steel bracelets made for UG's are all very cheap quality and dont worth spending money for them. A leather is more affordable and better looking...

Could not disagree more. I think the bracelets gf made for ug are the all time best bracelets they ever made. Better than the heuer dbor

I'm not agree with you. Why do you afirm that? Do you have any experience to tell that? GF had a craftmanship
recognized by the biggest watchmaking companies. They worked for the best one in 60' and today if we share here around this heritage it's because their quality allowed them to go through the years fron 60'...

Maybe a questionable opinion but i think we can say that @10H10 has "some" experience with UG...

I think he is just stating his preference. I actually don’t like GF bracelet (the look etc.) either but my OCD just forces me to get them to complete the watch. I think my action is even more condemnable 😒

@jhross98 and @Mouflet54 : Perhaps the good @10H10 is trying to downplay how great these are... This thread is surely not helping to keep prices down 😉

I really don't know if they were the best from GF, but it is just my opinion, I have some of these bracelets and they feel so cheap when I hold them in my hands, besides it's not welded just some light bended steel... Imo, Rolex made way better bracelets in the same period, that's all. But I still understand fanatics who want to have the original stuff.

Just to add to this, UC links fit on case number 869119/** (the grey dial) and UW fit on the other case (the black dial, unfortunately only some of the numbers are visible). They are not interchangeable, UW are 18mm and UC is a little smaller, about 17.5mm.

The grey dial is circa 67-68 and the black dial is 1970.

*if anyone has the case number for the one with the black dial please let me know*

Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Good to see another grey dial out there!!

I too have a UG GF Bricklink bracelet with the original C endlinks. I believe they were only on the early ones, 59-61/62. I believe it was for the earlier Polerouters as it fits mine perfectly and lines up with the specs people show for the UC endlinks.

What were the earliest UG signed bracelets?

I had thought it was the GF bricklink bracelets but has anyone seen anything, perhaps not GF, that was earlier than these?

The earliest advertisement I can find featuring a UG watch on a bracelet is the Polerouter Sub, circa 1961:

Those ads are great, thanks.

I had seen a bumper Polerouter for sale with a bracelet with UG clasp but I'm fairly sure it was a later generic bracelet (it was neither GF nor JB Champion) with a UG clasp added.

That just got me thinking about the earliest UG bracelet.

I found a nearly one year old photo of a UG bracelet I once owned. It's only marked "U". I believe it was attached to another non-Genta Polerouter. I don't have the size specs.
I have this same bricklink bracelet with the same U endlinks on my Polerouter Date 204610-2. Lug width is 18mm.
