So, 3 years down the line ... and here are the lowest sold prices I can find.

Speedmaster : $5700
Seamaster : $4200
Railmaster : $4200

(if the same guy bought these 3, that would be $14100 for a set)

Fullset : $16000.

With the current exchange rate, that would be 12850CHF for the 3 above bought separately, or 14500CHF for the fullset...which sold for 21000CHF when new. Thats a significant reduction!

Am I the only person who thinks these watches, at this price level, are an absolutely fantastic bang-for-buck value proposition, especially considering what has been happening of late? 3 years down the line and I am still feeling the love for these excellent reissues contrary to the market ...

And because there are way too few pictures ... here is mine (happily bought at full RRP the day they were announced) on the bracelet it should have come with (which takes things to a whole new level ... no longer a fan of the trilogy bracelets ... what were Omega thinking?!) ... so difficult to capture these watches in pictures.

very very good value for the money now

that said. . for all those new steel 321 buyers. . yet ANOTHER reminder that new watches from omega (and swatch group more broadly) just never appreciate

that is fair. although i think they can be found at a 10% or so premium to msrp if you look hard. i am convinced they stumbled into these LEs trading at a premium (like the silver snoopy) and then realized they could saturate the market with LEs (and have been ever since)

No Sir! I'm thinking exactly the same...
Even considering getting my Seamaster out of hibernation 😀
Purchased in December '17, not taken the stickers off yet, let alone worn this beautiful watch.

St2 yes, st1? No way! Find me st1 (full set) for 10% more than original MSRP and I will buy you a beer! 😉

Simply add an UncleSeiko flatlink for a full return to '57 👍

I wonder how many of these watches sold below retail were sold cheap because their owners wanted to purchase watches from that 'other' brand who apparently sell new watches for way more than RRP 🙄

I certainly don’t think you would find the ST2 anywhere near “10% or so premium to mrsp” either!

I don't think the premium for the trilogy set is or was worth it, but i think they're quite attractive watches and individually a good value for the price now vs MSRP ( i paid 20% less MSRP for my seamaster, so i'm not broken up over it).
While it was technically a LE, having 3 separate "versions" people could choose from kind of detracted from the novelty and uniqueness...in total there were ~4000 of each watch.

I saw some ultraman selling close to msrp (7100), I also sold mine for MSRP to a fellow speedy enthusiast but it’s definitely not representative example 😀

Totally agree. All three are great, still look good, and are an outstanding value.

you can definitely buy a ST2 for 8k if you look. there are a whole lot of them on chrono24 asking 8800 that would trade well below that

I enjoy my Speedmaster as well. As previous said I think the 60th is a bargain compared to the new 321 Ed White.

It’s a great movement - no doubt. But I would rather buy a “original” vintage 321.

Omega keeps copying its past. From the retro trilogy to this 321 movement.

Here is one (#shamelessplugalert), in a watch in stunning condition, for the same price as a DON. I wonder which is more legendary ... the 321 or that bezel ... its clear (to me at least) which one is more useful and gives more pleasure ... 😗 ...

Omega keeps copying its past. From the retro trilogy to this 321 movement.

Thankfully only the things worth copying (they have decades worth of nauseating designs they will not copy *touch wood*) ... and these are almost run out ...

Aside from auction houses and eBay, where do you find and confirm actual sale price?
