Aside from auction houses and eBay, where do you find and confirm actual sale price?

You may notice the numbers are blue, which means they are links...so clicking them will open up the sales (sold) adverts I based these values on. As to the prices sold in those sales : I assume the etiquette is similar to mine - a fixed price is a fixed price (with or without ‘firm’, is ‘firm’) and ‘open to offers, OBO, ORO’ etc implies it may have sold for about 10% less (but no way of knowing).

Edit:

and here are the lowest sold prices I can find.

Feel free to add ‘lower’ one if you can find them. I did not hunt far and wide.

Only watch nerds would understand the stories behind the trilogy. All the crazy rich Asians in China are busy buying Rolex.

Exactly - anybody with no interest in horology and Omega would never buy one of these.

The history helps for sure, but I believe these classic designs stand up by themselves to many other competing watches at similar price points.

I absolutely agree. The design speaks for it self, but what I mean is that you have to do a bit more research to know the trilogy and the design. They are also not widely available so I think most people will buy the standard Moonwatch.

It's a design from 60 years ago so it's not really ground breaking per se.
Also unlike moon watches, there isn't any x factor associated with railmaster and seamaster. That's also why speedmaster is always doing better than the other two.
