Too good to be true?

I too would like to apologize for questioning the authenticity of this piece. I was not aware of the reputation of the seller and I am sorry for doubting.

It was foolish of me to call out something as possibly fake since the price is low. There are like 6 days to go with this auction and too soon to make any kind of snap judgements. I'd like to apologize to the seller for causing this, it was never my intention to question your reputation or the authenticity of your listings. I hope that Mosco and the forums can forgive this mishap.
There is no issue whatsoever with questioning a seller. How are you supposed to "know" if you don't ask? The internet is full of fraud so you did the right thing by asking. Nobody, not even the seller would dispute that.

The problem is not with your question, it's with the answer, or the absolute tone of it. Even then I have been in tons of discussions where there was disagreement about a specific piece, it's value or authenticity...I have been asked many times to bring my feedback even though I am open about my limited knowledge but in "writing" we all look like experts, when very few are.

Just bare that in mind, as you hang out here (if you do) you will learn what each members expertise really is, and @meganfox17 has certainly some strong posts in the past that more than balance this mishap. She truly believed this to be a fake and gave her opinion, there is nothing wrong with that as there is no rule that states every opinion must be "right" or else there would be maybe 2 or 3 people allowed to post. Period.

Clearly once the validity was obvious there is nothing wrong with saying "my opinion was wrong. Sorry" but that does not mean that she was wrong to give an opinion if you see what I mean.

So don't apologize, just buy a watch and enjoy it.

I agree this if not the fault of the OP just for asking the question - a prudent answer was given in the very next post.

As you say we all eff up on occasion, but also as you have noted meganfox17 has in the past made very elaborate posts with comparison photos clearly illustrating why she believed certain pieces are fake. The unequivocal nature of the post here where she declares it as fake (the absolute tone you mentioned above) with nothing to back it up deserves the reaction it's getting IMO.

Having an opinion and being able to state it is what gives flavor to this community. But the manner in which you deliver (and retract) your opinion matters quite a bit. As most every member here knows, credibility is something that takes a long time to build up but can easily be hurt with just a few words. I think everyone is generally quite forgiving here, but barreling along with your initial opinion only draws more attention...

Not to be annoying but: Is that picture from the new Spider man? This is the grandfather or adopted father of Peter Parker?

The reality of this thread is Mr. Mosco is going to receive business from this thread due to the amount of referrals he was able to rally up in his favor....Well curated reputation wins every time - I'll be keeping up with his inventory now for a proper aquasition 😀 Differences aside, we can all find light in any situation..just need to be willing to do so!

Best,

Thomas

Hey, i have zero issues with you covering your bases.
What I DO take issue with is the subsequent unequivocal assertion that it is, indeed, a '$355 Kuala Lumpur fake' without any real, tangible proof. Even after @meganfox17 ' apologized, s/he continued on her path of 'guilty until proven innocent', requesting further high-res photos, just so that she could be further convinced. And continually clinging on to her reasoning because she knows someone who knows someone who's uncle's barber can provide a link to a site where they sell fakes that look nothing like the example listed.

Mind you all of us bare the consequence of our cultural and social differences. There are quite a few societies in which you are considered guilty until proven the opposite. Sometimes we fall in traps due to such like background.

Being from a place with similar culture and society, it's not really an excuse. Sure, it makes me somewhat more cognizant in some situations, but it doesn't excuse everything I do. It's ok to throw trash into the streets and nature where I'm from, but I'll be the first person to tap that person on the shoulder and nicely point them to the nearest trash bin.

I believe the authenticity of @Mosco as a trusted seller of fine watches has been settled. It's apparent from his photos, history in the industry, and supporting repeat customers.

The more pressing question for me now is when can we expect you to get your hands on this year's Basel releases for us to pounce on??!!

The point is not to argue but learn a lesson, each of us not just lady fox. That being said and hopefully done I presume we should put and end to it.

I have known the seller for years now and can assure you that he only sells authentic watches. In future,. please take a moment to contact the seller and I am sure he will clear your misconceptions prior to posts like these.
