Does it look like a relume to you? I also have concerns on the bezel... Need your suggestions...

One blurry photo isn’t ideal for identifying a relume, but from what we can see I’d say it’s original

I'm requesting clearer photos from the seller.

Understood. But after reading through all those threads about fake DON bezels, I can't tell whether this one is genuine...

Yes I did, and this bezel looks legit to me...

I've never see a Speedmaster of this age which does not have any black dirt on its lume... That's why I feel it is not original...

In my amateur opinion the condition of the bezel is not coherent with the condition of the middle case that is also not coherent with the sharpness of the case back. The lume is way to even in color IMO also. On the paper this watch has everything to be stunning but on those (blurry) photos I actually don’t find it super appealing. I have the sensation that I’m missing something…

So what is "Too good to be true" exactly?
Condition of the watch?
Price?

Looks like a killer Speedy, I like it... A lot !
As @ndgal said, is the price too low to be true 🙄 ?

The fact that it has the fat pusher it is already a plus for me IMO.
It only depends if all parts are original and if there is a relume and if they are disclosed.
But even in that case if the price is right for a relume/ modified bezel/condition, I don't see why it should be a problem. Especially if you are planning of wearing it and keep it.

Personally, if I was planning to keep it, I would buy it. I would only have a real problem if the movement was incorrect (I assume that this one in in the correct range since it has not been mentioned as an issue ).
Worse case, you wear it and in time you find a dial (if it is indeed a relume) if you care so much to have an untouched dial.

I think I'd expect some variegation in texture and colour in the lume on a watch of this age, from the images presented the lume looks really too crisp and linear for me.

I'd love to know the price too. Hope its possible for you to do a face to face deal with it too. Unless its a known, respected seller I get jittery.

The asking price is about 11600USD. I can and surely will do a F2F deal with the seller if we agree on the price.

I concern mostly on the lume. As I shared, I never seen a watch of this age with no blackened lume on it... The bezel is good. The case and caseback are very good, and it looks like they were never or only slightly polished. Yet the asking price is not rocket high... So let's put it this way, given the asking price and the assumption this is a relume, will you consider buying it? BTW I'm offering $10000 for it.

Does the watch come with an "Abstract of the Archives"?
This would be for me the "conditio sine qua non" to buy it or not.
If the movement wouldn't be right one for a 105.012-64, I would stay away.
Note: To find the right band with the right end links from the right year, will also be a hard nut nowadays.

The bezel and the dial look ok for me....

Cheers
