Too good to be true?

II am the owner of the auction, and the ebay store. Do you REALLY think its likely that this is a fake?
As a Seller of the item if you claim the watch is authentic and genuine , then I apologize from the bottom of heart and will retract my previous statement. I come from a place where fakes watches are rampant and counterfeit goods move easily across the Thailand Malaysia Indonesia borders. And I grew up with some Malaysian scumbag nasty sellers , visiting the flea markets during school holidays & semester breaks ,learning and listening ,observing how they smuggle goods across borders and ply their trade.
If that PO DB GMT watch on ebay was mine to begin with , I would have sold the pre owned.to an authorized watch dealer who would offer me a much higher resale value ~ US7500( current market price in Malaysia).
It has been drilled into my head that if the offer is too good to be true then it probably is.
Take some nice HD photo shots of the watch so that the Zirconium ZnO2 writing on the dial is clearly visible. It would certainly convince me even more [emoji68]

Buy it from Mosco. If it turns out fake, I'll buy you a replacement from the AD of your choice.

On the very first photo in the listing the writing can be seen. As you are aware, its quite hard to capture on photos, much like the elusive etched crown on rolex crystals, but nonetheless, its there.

If you had stopped after the first sentence that would have been good. Going on to make excuses for making a judgement without providing evidence, then asking for the seller to disprove your claim is bad form IMO.

Saying that a no reserve auction that started at $0.99 that hasn't run it's course yet is too good to be true...well as was pointed out in the second post of this thread, you will only know if it's too good to be true when the auction is over...

I forgot the link so I had to call up a Seller friend to request for the website . Check it out @Mosco. My friend deals with selling counterfeit items online like handbags , leather goods , Swiss branded watches and he was the one who told me about the PO DB counterfeit models that are already flooding the local & international markets

Probably pretty obvious by now what's what... but just to add, I know Mosco personally for a number of years now, and would buy anything he sells in any platform with zero concern.

Buy the seller first -- then you don't have to worry about the watch.

What the f-ck, Megan ? You need to be sure before you strike like that. You rock and everything, I've always thought so, but right now I'm utterly disappointed in you 🙁 And the printing on the dial...you'd better look at the balance instead. A dial is probably easy to copy, a free-sprung balance and the co-axial escapement (partly visible) sure as hell isn't.

And how is this proof that the seller's watch is fake? I can easily see differences (obvious tells) between what's shown on this site and what the seller has shown on eBay...it's clear to me that his watch on eBay is not one of those fakes.

First rule when you find yourself in a hole....stop digging.

We are in Trump world now.... proof is not needed, just assertiveness.

She fu&&@ up but give her a break. It wasnt malicious ( i dont think).

I think its clear the watch is legit, as is the seller. Now back to the Russian Intel hearing

This threat should be deleted. now people who want to buy from Mosco (which is a known and trusted seller for years) would now google him and come to this thread and jump the gun and think he is selling fake watches. I applaud self policing and watching over the forums and ebay for fakes. But for the love of god if you dont know what you are talking about best be sure before you pull that trigger.

There is a fake out there for just about every popular model. What does this have to do with my listing?

Why is that link to a fake watch site still active on this forum? Just post a picture of the fake. No sense in giving that site more clicks.

Well don't quote the link again, edit your reply to remove it. I guess mods will do it eventually.

Probably because the moderators have a life and may need to take a minute

Or 45 minutes. I always assumed you were a mod.

I too would like to apologize for questioning the authenticity of this piece. I was not aware of the reputation of the seller and I am sorry for doubting.

It was foolish of me to call out something as possibly fake since the price is low. There are like 6 days to go with this auction and too soon to make any kind of snap judgements. I'd like to apologize to the seller for causing this, it was never my intention to question your reputation or the authenticity of your listings. I hope that Mosco and the forums can forgive this mishap.
