Did they speak English?

Depends on the dealer location. Where I went, it was Japanese only.

Came in today. Yay!!
Now I can see why some were referring to a step in the dial! But it looks more like a truncated cone than a two layers step as the old speedmasters. Is it just the picture?

Something about the designs on these (especially as live pics start coming out) just strikes me as flat, lifeless.

Well here are two more. I have no daylight anymore so this will have to do for now....

It would make me happy if they put the panda and reverse-panda dial speedmasters into regular production.

I may catch A LOT of hate for this, but this looks so much better than the Gemini 4..

I'm buying the Tokyo speedies and own both the Gemini4 and the Apollo XI 35th......I don't think for a second these are better than the hesalite originals.

Just being realistic. Glad it's another chance for people who missed these but the hesalite versions are way better.

I prefer the hesalite of the original but the cleaner dial of the new... can't have your cake and eat it with Omega

Awesome! Did you go pick up from Omega boutique?

I personally like the new version better than the Gemini version. The elongated hour markers, red tipped chrono hand to match the red speedmaster lettering; and without the clutter of the dates on the dial.

It was shipped to me. By a dealer where I purchased before. Probably only reason why this was possible.

Me too, mentioned similar earlier. Small refinements really make this watch for me.

It definitely looks like they dial has more depth than previous ones as the one of the Gemini.
I am wondering if Omega is extendig the use of alluminium dials introduced in the speedytuesday 2 to other speedies like these ones. This may be giving them higher flexibility in the shape of the dial.
From what I understood , the use of aluminium in ST2 also resulted in a different finish of the paint, more "grainy" than that of brass dials.

Not having read the whole thread, i must admit.

I like the look of the blue and red bezel ones, but is copying earlier LE's really a good move?

And, these are no step dials. (A step on Speedy dials does need to look like a step on a staircase)

Just my 2c.

How to differentiate between a stepped and non stepped dial? Is it the depth of the counters?

Soo much better?

The Gemini 4 is beautiful. it's unfortunate that Omega had to make such a similar timepiece with the Tokyo 2020 model.
