And there we have the step dial again. Ultraman ST2 is really going to be the first of many.

Each colour seems to come in a pair of two versions; limited to 55 or 2020 pieces. Anybody a clue what the difference between these two versions is?

I’ll take this over the ST2 every single time, and twice on Tuesdays. ;)

When will these be available? Japanese is Greek to me.

There appears to be 55 boxed sets with all 5 watches as below, & 2020 individual pieces of each watch. From what I can gather, this series will only be sold in Japan. Can't ascertain the price and not sure when they will be available.. anyone know??

I don't really get the strategy behind this edition. Fair enough, the Speedmaster was intended to be a sportswatch, but the link between the Olympics and Omega has already been established by the Seamaster. On top of that launching a 5 x 2075 pc LE in a year in which we have already seen 3 other LE doesn't seem to make much sense. Off course they have plenty of time to sell these before the olympics start, but it doesn't seem worth provoking a future 'LE-weariness', even intensified by re-using recent LE's for 3/5 watches.

As a gemini iv owner I didn't expect to have a monopoly on blue dial Speedmaster forever, but this is a pretty cheap knockoff with no original thought whatsoever. If this doesn't kill any premium over retail for LEs I don't know what will... Oh wait there's a ST1 on sales forum w no bites...

Already taking orders in Japan rumour has it ;). But everything is Olympic fever in Japan at the moment, got off the plane in Tokyo the other day and posters everywhere in airport and city. The walk from the plane to customs is a running track in all the terminals ( quite cool actually )
Omega boutique salesperson talked about them but hadn't seen them yet when I first arrived a month ago.

Cool! Soon every Speedmaster aficionado will be able to have their own limited edition!

The Google translation of the description is not completely satisfying:

Apparently same price as the ST2 but needs confirming.

For me the red bezel is the thing of beauty.

Interesting, I like the red, black and blue bezeled versions. Would add any of the 3 to my collection
