Today is a magical day (my first Omega)

I’m now officially the proud owner of an Omega Seamaster (ref: 210.30.42.20.01.001). I picked it up in person today, secondhand, from a wonderful seller on another forum! It comes complete with all box and papers, purchased originally from an AD in May 2020, so I get the remaining 4yrs of factory warranty. Save for some very minor desk diving marks on the clasp, the watch is essentially in brand new condition! I’m over the moon and I can’t take my eyes off it. It’s been a “grail” of mine for many years. I feel like I finally have a seat at the “grownup table” of watch collecting!

Congrats mate they’re a beautiful piece and the dial really looks amazing with that texture at an angle.

That dial though... 🥰
Lot of reviews I watched mentioned it’s beauty. I have to agree... I couldn’t take my eyes off it the whole drive home. It’s a miracle I made it!

Just gorgeous. Congratulations on your purchase and wear it in good health.
My first "good" mechanical watch was also a Seamaster Pro (ref 2551.80). I bought it over 15 years ago and I still love it. They're great watches.

The pictures really make this watch pop! And certainly a fine timekeeping machine the dial is spectacular!

Beautiful watch- congrats and welcome to the sickness. You should leave now before you start shuffling money around for the next one, alienating your family with talk about patina, debating with strangers the merits of sapphire versus acrylic, and spending long nights here, making fun of Rolex’s despite a large percentage of us owning them.

Beautiful watch! Congrats!

I remembered buying my first Omega from an AD 22 years ago, it was quite an experience that I will never forget.

It is a beauty and you have every right to be proud! Now wear it and love it...knowing that you don't have to look for the first little scratch. Marks on the clasp are natural and you don't have to worry about them so much 😀.
