Ticking Sound of new 321

I don't know how many people listen to the ticking sound of their watches, but I often listen to the ticking sound of my watches and I particularly like the ticking sound of my new 321, it is very rhythmic, a bit more pronounced, and slower than my newer watches. I must be a total watch nerd...

Hmm I can't hear any ticking on my Seamaster 300m ....maybe I'm getting old?

The 2.5Hz of the 321 (old or new) is a delight. So much better than the frenetic sound of so many mechanical watches.

18000vph is a joy to listen to. Calming. And good hearing check.

I do this from time to time over the years as well, very soothing to hear a high end Swiss movement go to work in total quietness.

Lots of people can not hear anything. When my 3861 is too close to my ears, I hear it. It's loud, I can't ignore it.
The 321 is not co-axial right? It's a 1-1 of the older 321?

Omega's Co-axial do seem louder then other movements.

Went to bed once and heard what I thought was like and electronic beeping or something - spent the whole night waking up thing “what the hell is that?!” - I’m pretty bad at night when I get fixated on a sound that shouldn’t be there. Turns out it was my SM300MC resonating through the bedside table and now I can’t leave it on any hard surface near my bed at night as that’s all I can hear! Not an issue really but it’s my only watch that I can hear quite loudly at night.

Yes, this happened to me too, in fact it took me a few mornings to even realize what it was. Turns out it was my Hamilton Khaki field resonating on the night stand. Crazy how loud that is in pure silence.

I had to laugh when I read this. I had the exact experience with my Hamilton khaki when we moved into our new house a few years back . The new place is a couple of kms from a big satellite dish array... for a week or two I was convinced I was hearing some sort of satellite signals...

My PO Deep Black has 2 sounds, a distinct ping ping ping with a ting ting ting in the background.
Whatever it is, the movement is indeed creating movement.
