My 2254.50 makes different ticking sounds. At about the 5, 25 and 45 markers. It’s an additional sound that’s a note higher and makes like a ringing sound, almost echoing. Would this indicate for a service?

Only had the watch for about a week.

It's completely normal.
I think most of my watches do the same thing and have done since they were new or they make the exact same sounds before and after a service as when they were new.
It's all good😉

I think I read on TRF that all Rolexes do that because they are so well made - like angels singing praises to horological gods. Well, maybe they didn’t say it quite like that but something to that effect. But, yeah, it’s normal. My Tudor and Junghans both do it - it’s like a harmonic resonance in mine.

Okay, all good then! Makes me really relieved, the previous owner said it’s been serviced two years ago and that was partly why I chose this particular one.

Like the idea that angels are singing 😀 It’s like the watch are telling you something. Thanks a lot, gona see if I find that thread 👍
