Hi everyone, i hope you are doing well. I recently bought this watch and it's my first nice watch. I'd like to ask you a question about it. I can hear a ticking sound when it's 15-20 cm away from my ear and if i'm in a silent room. I'm really confused about it cause sources on internet tell that it shouldn't happen with an authentic piece. I bought it from an AD and a watchmaker also said it is authentic. Watch is recently serviced (2 years ago) and in good condition. Why is that ticking noise? Am i overreacting or it's indeed a problem? I really appreciate any information 😀

Some louder watches you can hear from a meter away, 15-20cm is pretty normal to still hear some ticking from it, it's a mechanical watch with moving parts so it's to be expected. Post some pics if you like to be sure but nothing you've mentioned sounds unusual.

Thanks for your explanation and reply. I can attach some files hoping they'll be useful. Besides ticking my watch is tends to running fast but. +5 seconds per day. How to solve it do you have any idea? Should i make it stop for 30 seconds every week?

If you want to keep the time within 30 sec every week, then yes, just hack it, then push in the crown when the time is right. Personally, I’m good with +/- 30 seconds so if my watch runs fast, I start it 30 seconds behind. Then, when it is 30 sec too fast, I will hack and repeat the process.

Why would you be predjudiced about Omega? It would be interesting to hear as I am Omega "brainwashed" since childhood.

Yeah I really understand why someone would be a "fan" of the brand. For me, there were couple of issues. First of all, i was thinking that Omega became more of a "middle-class" commodity and kind of a "phenotype" but their prices were still high and i heard that their customer service wasn't that good and even bad for a high-end brand.

Besides that, their marketing strategy is not work for me. I really don't like James Bond and franchise.

Then i just saw this watch in real life and i couldn't stop thinking about it. Additionally, i'd like to ask a question about my watch. I saw that service replaced my watchs' "barrel bridge, jewelled, assembled". The replacement don't have serial number on it, is it normal? I really don't have an idea.
