Cal 564 (first one) comes with box and offered at $2280 usd but won’t show movement and back case

cal 561 offered at $2400 usd

want to validate if both are authentic and not frankenwatch

I'm confused.
The second one had no dial pic?
Both are gold filled not solid. Edit: second one has a solid gold case with a hallmark, but steel back.
First one has dial damage and worn case.
Both have incorrect crowns.

I would not buy either based on those pics.

First is gold top, but I cant decide whether it's yellow or pink? Wrong crown, nice dial. Can't say more than that really...movement and box pictures would be handy. I'd say $2280 is maybe $400 too high for this one, I can see it at $1800 or so presented on a nice strap- maybe

Second is solid gold, over polished and badly redialed- big pass

Redial, no "swiss made" , font looks off, rotated star, some damage at 7,
Agreed that case heavily polished.

Something going on with the dial on first watch and I suspect it's not quite as nice as it appears in the over processed photos. Price too high regardless.

It's a shame the dial has some defects.
A Constellation pink gold capped with a perfect dial can fetch up to 3k, I believe.

How much would you say it’s worth with this condition?

I need more closeup photos to know for sure, the movement, too.
If the lug is worn this much then the value is reduced a lot.

To me, nothing. Save your money for a good one.
There are millions of nicer watches out there.

Amazing knowledge - thanks all

curious how to tell if dial is damaged.

How about this omega seamaster 503 2849 SC-, usd 2800

I don't see any issues, the buckle is not solid gold so you aware.
Usd $2800 is not unreasonable from a dealer/ retail.

The first one, if you zoom on 6 o'clock you will see discoloration. It may not be bad in person, but it is not perfect. Generally collectors don't want uneven coloration/patina.

Those over processed photos are hiding quite a bit of patina. You can just make out some freckles in one of the pics. Plus if you zoom in closely on the hour markers you can make out degradation around a few of them. It’s common on these off white dials from the late 50’s.

One last one - omega constellation 1970 asking for usd 3650 - I read that they are not as “collectable” as the 50-60s (and I personally like 50-60s more)

however this seems to be the best quality I can get my hands too

"Act in haste, repent at leisure".

Judging by the amount of recent posts for opinions you seem to be in a big rush to jump into the market. I understand that and we have all been there. Sometimes better to sit back a little and read more to ensure you know what you're looking for.

As I noted in your post on this watch:

"For that money I'd expect a near perfect watch, this isn't even close, I'd pass at half the asking price."

@amazonia its not helpful to double post the same watch in different threads.

As I said in the other thread - poor pics don’t help assessment but this is a $2000 watch at best.

Slow down, take your time.

Figure out what you really like and not what is available.
Then deep dive into those references you like and you’ll soon get a feeling for quality and pricing.
