Sold for USD 3.300 with no availability to bid from outside the US. Remarkable.

it looked all original and in good condition, except for possibly a stain on the dial around 2. Obviously a gamble on the dial given the lousy pics, but still, it’s pretty cheap.

It’s interesting how many of the (Original) non blue chrono sweeps you see on aero, more than any other ref, although you do see them on other ref, not so often, did they lose their blue or start this way?

I'm on the 'started this way' side

I was able to pick this one up! Bit of a gamble with the photos, but overall pretty happy with actual condition. Splotch around the 2 and needs chrono hand and service.

A nice example. I could not bid due to being in the UK but would have if I could have. I am sure it will look a million dollars once serviced and conscientiously buffed up. 😀 dibbs!

The last time I needed a cal 281 chrono sweep hand for an Aero, it took a long time to track down. I have a set of NOS radium hands for 281, but sadly no chrono sweeps at this time. (I was thinking at one point to replace the hands on my 22290, but I think the relumed hands actually look better, the NOS are too fresh to match the dial)

Very nice that it stays in the family

Its also worth noting the significant dial differences between the two 22290 examples above. Look at the differences in hour numbers and size, the subdial numbers size, also the size and location of both the UG and Aero compax text.

I've seen these same exact dial differences in 22290s that were a very small # of serials apart......

Did the relumed hands come in this colour? Or did it age as well?

the relumed hands were done in the darker color recently, to match the dial.
