I've had to remove the photos as the owner got pissed a bit 😉.
Photos can still be found on Henry's auctions.

Anyway, even though it's a redial I'd say it's a fair price for the watch, might just buy and start looking for dials themselves 😉

Thank you all for the help!
I would NOT do that. These were used hard. Dials are very difficult to source. We may sound harsh but we all learned the hard way and are trying to save you money. Get smart on this brand before you buy.

Did Henrys ask for that or the consignor?

The owner got pissed that you went to the right place to find out that these ain’t worth a spit? I’d drop him from my consideration list as he’s a scumbag. . See @jumpingsecond advice. UG is a defunct, beloved and soon to be reborn brand. Most of the good stuff is in collections. What is out there on the market needs careful examination. Quality examples are not cheap. It took us literally a nano second to dismiss both watches you posted. You need to get there. Get yourself a digital Sala copy and use the search function here.
Watches aint worth spit? I thought that despite the redial they'd still be worth around 2-3k eur each since the case and movement there seem ok.
That's why I was still considering to buy those and look for proper dials...

For sure I won't consider him for future deals.

Thanks for the hint on Sala digital copy!

He has no right whatsoever? Pics are courtesy of the auction house. And Henrys keeps their pics up so if this watches emerge with a new dial we will know that….

Yea true,
U know what? I think i'll buy both of them, will take more pictures send it here and have them as reference/spares.
I think 2,5k EUR per watch is an OK price.

Very nice thread, I wanted to share with you guys mine, a double signed by Jaccard. Anyone else have a fondness for double-signed or a unique story behind theirs?

Happy New Year!

Hello Gents,

While scrolling through this thread I've noticed a difference between the dials in 22290.

Most of them don't have any word next to 1 o'clock. But there's one that has: "mileage".
Is that possible that some had "mileage" or "base mile" and some didn't?

Yes. Most have the scales in km, but for the markets that don’t (didn’t) use the metric system dials with scale in miles were produced.

(Interestingly, most 22290s that I have seen either Mileage dial were located in Japan. The mileage dial has, if I am not mistaken other subtle difference compared to the kilometers version)

Mhm, so if I understand correctly, if it had the metric system it wouldn't have anything written like "distance" or sth. That spot would simply be "empty"
