Update from my side:

I just received $800 from Oisin for one of the watches he sold during his live stream.

He also confirmed shipping the remaining watches with a tracking number. I should receive them within 2-3 business days.

Thanks everyone that supported me.
Thanks Ade for coming forward - I do hope you get your watch back as well. Best of luck to @NicoLeonard as well.

I wish it had never come to this but at least Oisin is taking the right steps this time.

Thanks all,
Usman

I had an email discussion with Mr. Oisin, someone posted his email early in this thread. My cousin died of a stroke at a young age and I remember seeing him after the first stroke. Since then I have worked with numerous other stroke victims so the OP’s story kinda hit me I mean you don’t need added stress and BS when you are dealing with a serious physical illness.
So contact Oisin I did, I’m not much for YouTube watch things especially the ones where people make a glamour show so I never interacted or saw the dude before. I just said he should do the right thing and return the the Bogart watch to alleviate all the stress and worry with of someone dealing with some serious issues. Somewhere along the line I mentioned a potential hornets nest awaiting him if he was acting in a dishonest manner as we have seen how it plays out for other YouTubers who stole from people but at that time I did not accuse him of stealing just said it’s better to return peoples property to avoid the needless ruckus that could ensue.
Well damn did he get back to me. Actually it was quite a chain. I can’t diagnose anyone or say they need treatment or what have you but his communique did follow certain patterns. I did lose my cool during one exchange, but my intent was merely, although the chances I knew were slim to none, facilitate the return of the Bogart watch.
I see no need to post them I do not think it would be helpful tbh but it did leave me with less hope the watch is still around although he told me it would all be cleared up in that livestream thing he was going to do which he urged me to watch, I didn’t.
He’s just one of them dudes who gotta be right even if he has to write 309 things to prove it probably with some other stuff mixed in. He used the same language I’ve seen used by others who left a verbal trail as they took cash, crypto or insert item of value. I’ll wish all parties well and hope this comes to a positive conclusion. I say “all parties” only because it’s bad juju to wish negative on people and this hasn’t been a great year for me this far I don’t want to add any room for more things to go sideways.
It really would be a terrible thing to have to write off to a scam so hopefully there is a chance it won’t go that way.

Name and shame pays off! Such a troubling tale all around. Wonder how many other victims are out there without knowledge of the OF might.

Good to see some positive progress. My social circle may is small so it's baffling to me how people like Mr. Oisin exist. I sincerely hope he gets some form of help.

Paul Thorpe has put out his views on this. Just watching it now.

He (too politely) admonishes Oisin for not returning the watches on a dime, while - surprise - making half the video about his own various qualities.

YouRube watch community really is something.

Any public apology from this watch superstar to his victims especially to the legit youtube/ig watch vloggers for creating suspicious atmosphere and animosity between watch collectors and vlogger community?

Agreed. I read the first uncomfortable pages of this thread and formed the rapid opinion that Oisin needs therapy (as well as to return the damn watches!). One of the ironies about people with this many defences is that they are amongst the least likely to actually submit for therapy.
There is a circularity about the reported chain of events. People ask how someone can behave so irrationally in his response to protest - but it is the same irrationality (or lack of perspective) that lead him into this mess in the first place and caused the OP so much distress.
Best wishes to all concerned.

I couldn’t stick with the whole of the live cast but when I stopped he’d finished on the Gruen without showing it, and then started flashing around the Seikos.

I hate to say it but unless I missed something to explain why, I’m guessing the Gruen is no longer in his possession.

Well, the cliffhanger is that, supposedly, the Gruen was shipped back to its owner yesterday.

We will see in a mere hours if the OP got his watch and papers back…

In a mere days I'd say, one business day between Venice and Dubai isn't probable unless you are sheik.

The Gruen is coming to UK so, it should be overnight if that was the service selected. Fingers crossed that there is good news later today.

Cheers, Chris

I've been reading through and catching up. Shocking.

I truly hope all receive there watches back, this appears to have blown up in Oisin's face and will impact the youtube watch community and their fans. It looks like he's taken down the video already unless YouTube did?

Then hopefully I’m right and it’s not in his possession…. And I’m wrong that it’s not on the way to its owner.
