now she wears a Kevlar vest that inflates automatically to protect her torso if she’s thrown.

Sounds expensive, but worth every penny.

It certainly was, but it’s quite ingenious. The vest has replaceable Co2 cartridges that are tied into an inflation system throughout the vest. The vest has a ripcord that attaches to the saddle. If she’s thrown, the ripcord pulls a pin (she can also do it manually) and the vest inflates before any impact occurs.

I've got two vegetarian brothers and cook that way multiple times a week. Always interested in good recipes if you have one you'd share

I certainly enjoy eating my share of fruits and vegetables. That being said, I’m a confirmed omnivore. I enjoy meat (in moderation), chicken and all seafood. Subject to dispute, our canine teeth and some of our other anatomical features seem to evidence that we were not designed to subsist solely on plant based protein.

Here’s a basic, low-brow, super easy but insanely delicious recipe we have used for years.

25 kg of grain for every kg beef produced seem like a very good benefit for us all. A higher number of vegetarians would end world hunger. How much higher ? I dont know. That and it seems to take days and days to come out the other end when I eat it. In spite of this, entrecote for dinner tonight.

These came out of motorcycling and MotoGP tech. The latest high tech airbag vests get rid of the rip cord and use accelerometers to determine if a crash is happening. Have to deal with batteries but gets rid of the scenario where you forget to disconnect the rip cord when dismounting and accidentally inflate in the parking lot.

I do like lentil stovies, this recipe has chorizo But I'd be losing that and adding mushrooms, onions and carrots.
