Regarding the dark blue box, it was still supplied in 1955/1956.

Thank you for sharing this @jef33

There are two kinds of these blue boxes, one with and one without
the winged hourglass logo. Maybe Longines did a revival of this
logo in the 50`s?

I really like this one. The movements on the four corners are precious. 👍

I am surprised that a 12.68z / 12L was supplied in a cardboard box.

I assume it is the movement before the 30L that helped Longines win many observatory prizes.

I guess that at that time, the wristwatch was a much more functional. You would only have one watch and would use it all the time. The box was like having a box to a medical device - people didn't think much of it.

I wonder what people would think now if they knew that we collected the boxes.

Very nice @Blum001 👍 I love the box and the watch.

Maybe you can share some content of those pamphlets too?

To my knowledge, the caliber 12.68Z did not win many observatory prizes. If you have evidence to the contrary, I would be interested to see it.

Oh nothing much! Just Longines marketing materials, along with the instructions on how to care for the watch hahaha

Resurecting old thread 😀

While waiting for box to arrive, I'm trying to date it. Looking at Longines historical logos, it should be around early 40's?

In this box, a 12.68Z (who knows if it was actually sold in this box...) with the movement number 8.713184 arrived at my place.

Recovery Longines Box Thread 💪
I got a Longines box with Majetek Longines (1944).

In my opinion, the Longines box does not belong to the watch because it is too small. Box dimensions: 12.8 cm x 4.8 cm x 2.1 cm. What are the other dimensions of this box?
