·Yes, same as Ash I looked into alternative options and costs quickly ad up with an independent with parts being extra...as with many things you get what you pay for and with STS you buy piece of mind (all parts included, 2 year warranty, no hassle adjustments) which is priceless. The only possible caveat is that they don't currently seem to be using their lapping maching for perfect case refinishing. Besides STS have to be commended for still servicing (at a large cost, think £700) these precious old 1300/1301/15xx quartz watches that no one else does anymore, including Bienne.
Great people too (I stopped by last summer on a trip to the UK) and they have an uber cool collection of watches. I didn't ask about the prices of anything in their watch cabinet but I have read of people having bought watches from them so they must sell some pieces from time to time, or at least they used to.
The soccer timer with the roulette wheel is really colourful but I didn't realize it was so valuable, what's the ballpark price?
