That's a rare coin! I've seen these around before. What's the current approximate valuation on one?
It's not that rare, I have a couple of them already. It's a 1910 Edward VII Gold Half Sovereign and gold content is around £120 with the coin £130-200 depending on condition. I put this one around £150. Now, if it had been an Edward VIII Half Sovereign, I'd be shopping for a 2915.

I may send them an e-mail with pics of my 2998-6. Sadly I invested in a movement overhaul last year with a local and very expensive watchmaker. Might have been better to have just shipped it to STS for a full spa experience. 🙁
STS will be able to service your 2998.

Not really??? It will be carefully dissolved during the clean. It's probably been rinsed down the drain and washed out into the River Thames estuary. He'll be making his way across to the French coast by now.🙁
I can't risk scraping my lovely bezel. I had to make a choice... Dad's old DNA or my Dot over 90 bezel??? The bezel won. Maybe I'll remember 'the old man' by wearing the 1171/633 with a much cheaper watch. Anyway it's less weird.😟
