This is Episode 5 of The Time 4A Pint Podcast - In which we pay a visit to Swiss Time Services, and have a chat with Tony Coe, about things that go "Tick".

With a collection to rival Omega themselves, Tony chose to share with us his particular passion for the high-end electro mechanical goodies of the recent past.

    Watches in this episode:

    • Omega Constellation Megaquartz f2.4MHz "Elephant" (Prototype)
    • Omega Constellation Megaquartz f2.4MHz "Stardust"
    • Omega Megaquartz 2400 Marine Chronometer
    • Omega Megaquartz Marine Chronometer Clock (French Navy Issued)
    • Omega calibre 372 SCS wrist chronometer

As always feedback is highly appreciated. :)

Ahh... Nice one Chris! (Now I have to hold my hand up... because I initially 'went off on one', like a big hysterical tart when I heard that Simon had left STS... ::shy::sorry!)
BUT... after you chaps calmed me down, I had a lovely chat with Tony, on the telephone, in which he 'clued me up' on how things actually work at Swiss Time Services. For me, it was a very helpful and interesting conversation. I'm looking forward to hearing more from him on your podcast.
    Jonathan.

    Hopefully you enjoy it Jonathan!

We talk a bit about what STS is, how it came to be etc... and then more about Tony's passion for Electro-Mechanical Omegas!

I now NEED a Marine Chronometer... or a "Stardust"... or a French Navy Issued Clock...:whistling:

Did you ever consider to open the UK branch of the Omegamuseum?

Listened this afternoon. Great job as usual!

That elephant was just amazing and someday I'd love to see a video of a stardust in the sun.

I need to start from scratch, this is great!
Love the topics, people, your accent, it's very cool, keep up the good work.
Now starting ep4 while waiting for connection to Miami and sadly 4&5 won't cover me the rest of my trip.

Another one through the remastering process - should be clearer and brighter - has certainly rekindled my desire for a Marine Chronometer.

If you're new round here, and have heard mention of Swiss Time Services (STS), and been a little unsure what those words mean together, give this a listen. :)
