Friends, I am about at my wit's end.
I have a wire-lug watch that wants a 9/16" strap. You metric folks would call this 15mm. It originally had a verry-worn leather strap sewn on when I bought it.
I've tried all sorts of straps new and vintage, and none of them are right. eBay seller "nato-international" had one that might have worked, had i actually received the strap advertised.
My biggest issue is that they're too short.
Ideally, what I need is a custom strap maker who will make the leather to my specification, punch all of the holes, and supply the thread so I can sew the strap on myself.
Any advice, other than "drink more"? I am this -> <- close to cutting the lugs to force a strap on.
