When I went to pick-up my watches, the boutique manager I deal with told me in no uncertain times that the TinTin has been discontinued and has been out of production for sometime.

Max

This watch is shown as "in collection" on the Omega Extranet. It is still current production based on that.

Cheers, Al

That Moon to Mars has never really done anything for me, i know some people have it on here but i just hate that dial and no matter how much i look at it it does not grow on me!

The Apollo 20th - Even though 6250 were made they had 3 inscriptions

USA - 'xxxx/2000 Apollo XI 1969' Came in a mahogany box with some goodies.
Germany - 'xxx/250 Apollo XI 1969-1989' came as head only.
RoW - 'Apollo XI 1969' 4.000 pieces produced on leather strap

I have also seen 'xxxx/2000'

Repoman is right - over the course of the last 18 months certain speedys have shot up in price, a while ago the Gemini 4 went through the hype and prices became what they are today. In 2010 you could pick these pieces up for circa £1500. You can even find these NOS if you search hard enough and by hard enough i mean really hard!

I can tell you that the snoopy new was £1500 as i have the original receipt.

My money is on the white gold 3689.30.31, which I picked up at the first opportunity about 6 weeks ago. While not strictly limited as it was a regular production model, Omega only made roughly 285 and combines a precious metal case, complicated movement and a genuinely unique design. Prices are currently high (and stable) but they are not getting any easier to come by.

weren't the first 1000 xxxx/2000, and the second 1000 had the full inscription 'xxxx/2000 Apollo XI 1969'?

The Moon To Mars is actually kind of interesting for an odd reason, there are some misprinted dials that lose a lot of colour pigment and make the moon look like a green-blue oasis.

Can't think of any other LE Speedmaster with odd variations like that

Al,
Is the FOIS on the Omega Extranet? I read some reports that it is being discontinued. Thanks.

Extranet still says "in collection" so it's not discontinued based on that.

It's also a testament to just how bad this watch was...

Each to their own but I will never like it!

As someone said recently, that's why there are different flavors of ice cream 😁 But in this case, I'm forced to agree, and go on record here, I just don't feel this piece at all, and it won't be part of the repo collection.

As long as I like it all will be fine

We were referring to the "Moon to Mars" piece, not TinTin... Everybody loves TIntin !! 😁
