Speedmaster Reduced stopping at the same time.

Good day Omega forum! My speedmaster reduced (3510.50) keeps stopping at the same spot. I have found my speed master reduced stopped at these positions, the watch is still running as the sub seconds still move but the hour and minute hand stay at the same time. When I reset the hands it works fine and will stop again either at 12:35 or 1:32. It doesn’t look like the hands touch. Any ideas on what could case this?

To understand how a Speedmaster Professional (not the reduced) should operate is easier to diagnose, if and when it performs erratically. The problem with your Speedmaster reduced is more likely with the Dubois, Duprez chronograph module rather than the base calibre. Not too many on the message board really understand the Dubois, Duprez module. Unfortunately. Anybody?

We have entered every Speedmaster Reduced owner's nightmare zone... the dreaded repair.

Disclaimer: I own one, love it, but definitely lament the day that shall inevitably arrive.

I went through similar problems with my reduced, about 8 years ago. My Speedmaster reduced was not as predictable as the one owned by the OP. Mine would only run for short periods, but was totally unpredictable. A trip to Swatch (Canada) and about $800.00 later, all is good. I love mine.

That’s why I’m scared of wearing my Marui Speedy R.

All hands are driven by the module, so it's definitely in the module. Not sure that guessing the specific problem is going to help much - it needs to be sent in for service anyway...
