These two have been my first and second LE Speedmasters. They have massively contributed to make this thing grow in me over the last years.

In the mean time, the hobby turned into a real passion and the wish to explore the vintage world combined with the opportunity to hand them over to another collector pushed me to make the decision and let them both go.

It's now time to let them join a new home and I am sure the new owner will treasure them and enjoy them at least as much as I did every time I've had them on my wrist. They will meet other brothers from the same mother at their new home and they will continue being worn and enjoyed by a fellow collector and friend. The most important, they stay in the OF family.

Bittersweet indeed. What direction in the vintage world are you headed?

I've never met a Speedmaster I didn't like, but I certainly wear the older ones the most.

Looking forward to seeing what's next ::popcorn:: maybe one day I'll follow the same path.
For now I'm still within my episode of 'Speedy in Colors'.:D
Seeing a Japan Racing picture melts me everytime.

They didn't even have to come up for sale here. One pic on Instagram saying I'm thinking of moving the Japan Racing, 10 min later a WhatsApp from a friend asking for a bundle, an almost sleepless night and done.

Yes, have something NASA on the radar and a nice Transitional. Let's see :)

Maybe he is on a forum, saying my brother only cares for his Speedmaster and doesn't even know what a Subaru STI is.

A bummer when good watches have to go, in order to get a new one. I try to think casual about it, material things come and go.

I have found it incredibly difficult (if not almost impossible) to let anything go these days. 3-4 years ago, I would buy and keep some and flip the ones I wore for a short period of time, but wasn't in love with. Now, I find myself buying back models that I previously owned because I have found a new appreciation for them. I bet I can count at least 6 pieces off the top of my head that I now re-own, but are in better condition than the originals. The interesting thing for me is that my taste has remained pretty consistent. This is a crazy passion, hobby, sickness, obsession.....what ever you want to call it. Good for you to pass along to a new owner who will appreciate them as much as you did. I am sure your next purchases will be just as spectacular! The moral of my rambling post, you can always rebuild the collection if you find you can't live with out them!
