Certainly appears to be a gap between the tension ring and the edge of the dial...
Mod advice please? I have all the dials and hands to do either the Mitsukoshi Mod (with silver hands) or the Paramedic Mod (with white Italian dial, black hands, red sweep second, and pulsations bezel). I recently traded for a 3570.50 in mint condition to apply these parts.
My watchmaker serviced my 76 Speedy 3.5 yr ago and it runs like a dream, so I figure I can mod a 4 yr old 3570.50 and he can service this one as well without having to return it to stock and send to Omega next year (also I have one set of spare pushers, crown, crystal, bezel, white hands, plus a few mainsprings just in case it did need parts).
I'm leaning towards the Paramedic Mod, but my watch maker thinks maybe I should do the Mitsukoshi mod or leave it original as he likes the black dial a lot. I do like the black dial too, and so I never modded my 76 Speedy which would be an abomination. I don't know if I really should mod with it running within 1-2 sec/day of atomic and looking great.
I really like the white dial on a Speedy (loved Silver Snoopy Award dial). And think the black hands and red sweep second on white dial really pop! I don't think I've ever used the original tachymetre to calculate the speed of a vehicle across a mile, and the pulsations bezel could be more useful, although I'm not sure it looks better than the original bezel.
I worry that the Mitsukoshi might make my Speedmaster look a little smaller on my wrist (see pic two post up). It's just a feeling I get from looking at the panda dial, and my CK2998 LE certainly wore small and I sold it. When I see them now, I think "Hmmm, black on white makes the sub-dials look too close together". Also, for some reason, I think the Mitsukoshi Mod looks better on a sapphire sandwich - more elegant and less tool-ly.
What say you guys? Which mod do you think I should do, if at all, and why? Here is a photo of a Paramedic Mod, and my parts.

Welcome to the Madhouse!
Here's my poorman's 2915-1. The base watch's a 3590.50, with the bezel, hands and caseback changed. Save for the caseback, all replacement parts are genuine Omega parts sourced from Ofrei. In addition, the hands and dial were artificially aged.
I embarked on the project out of curiosity, and the watch's dissembled and restored to its original state and, together with its parts, sold.
