·Update, I pulled the trigger.. Bought a '77 145.022. It's in great condition:
1. Unpolished case
2. Serial 3992XXXX - places production August 1977
3. Correct dial, hands and bezel - in very nice conditon and colour
4. Correct bracelet - in really nice condition, with spare link
5. Correct red box with its outer beige colour cardboard box, again in very good condition
6. Orginal receipt from 1978 with warranty card and owners manual
The curious item is the caseback, as it has 145.022-74 ST stamp, however, as the watch is very good condition, I'm thinking that the case back is as it was when bought new...

Oh, did I buy 'the bible' and have ordered the nifty case opener from this forum's member.
