Hi Gang!

Lately between all the boredom and down time both here for us in Connecticut and our crew in the Philippines we have been amassing way too many nifty watches so it's time we blew some out and share these exotic finds for others to enjoy. I know...button up my shirt before my heart falls out but that's the kinda guy I am.

So first up and all the way from Moalboal Philippines is this pristine unmolested '60's manual wind diver. My wife's sister found this in one of the old time dive shops along the road to the shore. The proprietor of the shop said it has been in one of the cabinets there for decades and forgot all about it along with the next watch I will describe. From what we can see the watch was not worn much at all and chances are never opened. The acrylic crystal has light scratches that will certainly buff right off and the rotating bezel is near mint. Dial and hands are pristine and any imperfections are on the crystal. The watch fires right up with the first twist of the crown and runs great, keeps good time too. looks to be around 36mm without crown. Says "France" on the bottom of the dial but surely has a decent 17 Jewel Swiss movement in it. I haven't tried to open any of these watches aside from using my ball rubber opener which doesn't usually work and didn't with these, but I guarantee they are as they came from the factory.

Next from the dive shop proprietor is this big funky looking manual wind 24 hour watch that is also a blast from the past and in almost unworn condition. Not exactly a high end brand but the thing has a very cool look, is jumbo size and runs well. Has a rubber 22 mm "Tropic" strap which is also in practically unworn condition and the rubber is as supple as the day it was made. Be the talk of the town with this exotic beauty on your wrist!

Ok those were the 2 Moalboal watches.

The dynamic duo at the beach in Moalboal Philippines. The two in the back ground wearing sunglasses are Janice and her watch-hunting sister Jenny. Jenny may end up coming to join us here in Connecticut next year and we will put her to good use hunting here as well.

Ok now a Connecticut watch. This men's Hamilton "Thinomatic" is also a pristine barely worn watch that is actually much more mint in person than in pictures. Also sat relegated to a drawer for many years. Runs perfect and keeping great time. Gorgeous dress watch.

And just because we are such nice people we will pull our usual stunt that Janice used to do in her heyday on the military watch forum and throw in another watch for free. This will also be a watch that Jenny found for us in Moalboal. This can either be a very old round men's Tissot bumper automatic with a thoroughly tropical dial or a men's round Bulova automatic. Both running. You chose but it's free so don't expect me to bother taking pictures (unless of course you ask) 😁

Anyways to buy these exotic beauties send us a PM. You can also call us as well. We can accept checks or bank wire and it's free delivery anywhere in the US of A and thanks for lookin!

The three women don’t look that old. Do they know that you’ve referred to them as vintage?

What watch is Janice wearing in the photo? I can’t zoom in close enough to hazard a guess.

That was a sweet deal for sure. Fred (although I assume it’s actually Janice that’s the brains of the operation) has a way of finding these treasures in the wild- kind of him to pass them along to us.

@janice&fred : For the record, here are two better examples of using attractive distractions to sell things, in this instance, cars, for your future reference.

BTW Fred, I say those women look like they could eat you alive.

Next time and thanks for the tip. Now if only I could get my worn out Chevy Cavalier running and off the jack stands it would be preening itself in the afternoon sun and ready for the photo op! Does anyone know which battery cable is positive or negative and have a metric adjustable wrench I could borrow?
