As for my alias, it was given to me as a wee tot. I have a Christmas card addressed to me with that name, at two years old, from the wife of the Cheyenne gentleman who gave it to me. I think it may have been her father's name. Dusted it off for the internets; Indian Guides before that.

If I recall correctly, UB, just about everyone had a "state of mind" in the 60s didn't they? I no longer have the flashbacks though, so that's a good sign. Now, what is this thing called a car you talk of...

Flashing back after seeing @Time Exposure 's delicious '55 !!
Can't show his beauty often enough.

Yes, it's a stunner! In Australia, GM-H (General Motors-Holden) put out a similar style in 1961-62 in the form of the FB which was "revised" to become the EK. The differences between the two were fairly minor, but it was the first automatic transmission vehicle (3 speed Hydramatic) fully imported unit for Australians.

The name is from the Blue Oyster Cult "A Veteran of the Psychic Wars".

Avatar is usually my grandfather's trumpet, but my tokay gecko Charlie deserved a turn. He'll be 18 years old in September. I raised him from an egg.

My user name is our old family place on the lake spelled backwards.

I'm into shooting sports as well and this photo was taken looking to the east out over the lake at the wrong time of day, in late winter, of a drought year in Texas. It's also the 200 yard range, looking back to the firing point where the pickup sits.

The avatar photo was taken on a rainy afternoon last year when we attended the 100th anniversary of the Battleship Texas.

We have common house geckos living in our awnings here in So Fla.

It's considered good luck to have them as they eat several times their weight in mosquitoes every day of their lives.

Boringly, allantt is just from my first name, initial and surname initial. The avatar is a still of me from the film "Daybreakers" that starred Ethan Hawke, Willem DaFoe and Sam Neill. It was one of several films I've been in as a sometime actor. Now that I am retired I hope to do more, to get money to buy watches.

Businessman, right?
"...and there will always be those willing to pay for the real thing" Sam Neill could have been referring to watch collecting here.

If we could import a few thousand to Australia, we could put them in Canberra where they could suck up several times their weight in politicians.

Shortly after I started rocking a waxed stache, I was in a long line at the bank when a little girl ahead of me said, "Mommy! Lookit at that man's mustache!" Everyone else turned to have a look too. Mom turned three shades red and I just laughed. And the pic is probably what I looked like to her!
Haha, and to us.

Given your experience with non-native species, that might not be a good idea. 😀

I'm a commercial Photographer by trade ( www.jeremyscottphoto.com ) and my avatar image was taken by a fellow Photographer in California some years ago. I've always wanted a nice timepiece and after a lot of looking, I've decided to go with a Speedmaster Professional MOTM 3570.50. The Mark l & ll's really suits my style as well. In fact, all things 60's seem to resonate with me...maybe that's why I look like one of the men-in-black on my avatar.

I play old-time fiddle. But I listen to classical (go figure!). In 2012, we were on a three week trip to Europe- two weeks in Italy. One day, on the bus, not too far from Cremona, Italy, one of the tour members mentioned an astronomical clock in the town square. A quick cell phone call by our tour director to a guide in Cremona, and it was arranged! A quick detour, and we headed for Cremona! I caught the view shown in my avatar through the window of a moving bus! While at Cremona, we were told of an exhibit of stringed instruments by many of the old masters which was on display at the Stradivarius museum which was just across the square from the clock tower. Violins, violas, and a cello dated from 1565 to 1947! Guess where I spent my time! €21,000,000.00 worth of instruments. The custodian's job was to tune and play each instrument for 10 minutes per day, 5 days per week! Sigh!

My first foray into online forums was for cars, so the blacktalon is from when I had a '90 Eagle Talon. The boar avatar is from the cooking- and knife-realted forums I also frequent.

My great grandfather was a painter who as an employee of the ministry of works in the early 20th century was responsible for painting murals at Buckingham Palace amoungst other royal and government residences and offices in London. We only have one of his works in the family, a copy he made of the Laughing Cavalier by Franz Hals, which now hangs in my study. If only I was paying attention when I signed up for OF I wouldn't have spelled it wrong! 🤦 Doh.

My user name is one I took about 20 years ago when joining an IRC forum (internet relay chat). I had a 1990 Mustang 5.0 Liter that everyone on the forum knew me for. I took the "Stang", added "Go" and I liked the partial homonym with Ghost. The 9 comes from my birth day which has also been my lucky number as long as I can remember.

Avatar is my Explorer II 42mm, a gift my wife gave me about 6 months ago. She's normally very frugal, but agreed to go the the AD with me to check it out. When a "good deal" was offered, she agreed to buy it for me on the spot. I was blown away by her surprising willingness to splurge on me, and have worn it proudly ever since.
