With so many interesting user names around here ... It would be earful to know the stories behind em.
Lets me start with mine...
I am big follower of Ancient Aliens Theory And Sumerians where the people who allegedly had the first gods called Anunakis..
Between Sumerian and Anunaki .. I picked Sumerian for this forum, as i was a newbie and had no clue about antique watches...

After my first crazy scores in a week, our honorable members graciously gave me the Magpie Caption and the Avatar..

I'm thinking the squirrel is like Clark Kent, and the old avatar is the Superman cape beneath, but it's only a guess!

Avatar is a croc because i live in Darwin Australia. There is more saltwater crocodiles than people in the Northern Territory

 

So I guess it makes beach fishing an adrenalin inducing experience

Beach fishing is out due to box jellyfish and irukandji jellyfish . Fu@k everything wants to eat you up here

 

I guess it's pretty obvious really, I work frets (less than I used to, my left hand is a bit busted now) - my avatar is the fingerboard of a mid '50s Strat

 

User name really just fell in to place, "Omega" the last letter of the Classical Greek Alphabet and "Alpha" the first so thought that'll do for me

As a youngster, I was known by the nickname, 'Dougie'; my grandma even when I grew up was the only one that couldn't switch to just 'Doug'... Then in high school, I was dubbed, 'Dude' (well before 'The Big Lebowski'!). I put the two together. The avatar is, of course, the 'Connie' medallion, my most prized vintage piece so far...

Construction workers are a..holes, just because I was a little overweight, smoked cigars, gambled, drank and faintly resembled John Candy........somebody on the job needed something done and my partner said "go get that UncleBuck lookin' motherf......" and so it began.
