More obvious now than ever how new I am to this forum thing. I put my real picture and real name. I may have to get creative....

I think you're ok since your name is also your brand.

I'm originally from West Monroe Louisiana and that's where I have spent most of my life. Interstate 20 goes directly by my house. That's where i20rider comes from

And for the avatar I'm a competitive shooter.
308 @ 1000 yards:

Good to know another shooter in on the forum!

Well my screen name should be self explanatory - I no longer compete but was a competitive archer for many years as I explained in the previous thread like this one.

With my team mates at an event in Venzuela:

Gold medal match at Canadian championships one year where I won:

Here is the equivalent shot for an archer - 90 meters:

And some video taken when I was training as a guest archer at the US Olympic training center several years ago:

And I had no input into my avatar, but I suspect it might not be a good idea to change it now as people are used to it....

Cheers, Al

The user name comes from the time when I was founding my first company in 1997. We built up our IT-network using characters from "Star Wars". All three of us had to choose a user name and I took "lando". using it ever since.

The Avatar is a macro shot of my first moonwatch (yes, it lacks focus). I chose it because most of the people from the forum will immediately know what it is, but if you would ask somebody on the street, i think most of the people would not have a clue. I sold that watch some time ago, because of a poorly refinished case (and got exactly what I paid for it 😀).

Raw is a term used in painting....usually to indicate a primitive style or crude approach to making pictures. I am a painter and my last name is Archer. I paint with more attitude than skill. I cannot shoot arrows. For a poorly curated collection of my art, you can visit www.rawarcher.com. My avatar is a rendering of the child saint Niño Fidencio Constantino found on a Mexican prayer candle. I just like it and my friends and family think is odd, which makes me like it more. Tom

I'm a former moderator on another watch forum and my Zen Dog avatar started out as a reminder to me to try to keep the peace and get members to take the high road in disagreements.

Back Noir is an obscure wine varietal that I enjoyed while visiting the Niagara region years ago. Needless to say, I'm a bit of a wine-o.

Avatar is me having fun with my #1 passion in life, motorcycles; mostly sportbike and supermoto riding, but I'll ride anything with two wheels and enjoy it. I keep buying watches because Im an addict, instead of buying a new bike, but the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 is in my radar and I'm very conflicted between that and another couple watches, or some flips to justify the bike. I'm 50 but I don't see myself slowing down anytime soon on the bikes, my friend Reg Pridmore (3-time AMA superbike champion) is 75 and riding as fast and smooth as ever, so he inspires me and gives me hope for many years to come.

The nickname is not because I've ever been a repo man, its from the quirky 80's movie by the same name, starring Emilio Estevez, who I was told I looked like by my friends when we were all young... and "repo" has stuck ever since.

Shortly after I started rocking a waxed stache, I was in a long line at the bank when a little girl ahead of me said, "Mommy! Lookit at that man's mustache!" Everyone else turned to have a look too. Mom turned three shades red and I just laughed. And the pic is probably what I looked like to her!

Competitive waterskier who graduated from Kansas State.

Very cool - my cousin won a bronze medal in trick skiing at the world championships a while back. He is in the old timer's division, but has been a competitive skier for decades, along with his younger brother.

Between them they have won a pile of Canadian championships, and the same guy who recently won the bronze was inducted into the water ski hall of fame this year as well - he has been an international judge for years.

Both of them used to jump and slalom as well, but jumping ended a long time ago for both with knee problems, but they still do slalom when the water is calm enough. Here's Jim (the one who won the world bronze) cutting a wake...

I have been the driver and release guy more times than I can count over the summers we used to spend at their parent's cottage. Driving is so much easier now with the computers - just set the speed and you're good to go.

Back in the early 80's I helped them both when they were learning the Toe 7 - I became very good at anticipating a fall and pulling the release rope....

Cheers, Al

I was considering what name to use on a forum signup, thus Impondering surfaced.

The avatar was created by my son from two pictures I grabbed online.

Also a Saints fan from Louisiana.

I was on a cruise in the Caribbean wearing a panama jack hat getting heavily socially lubricated and a friend of mine blurted out Panama Vin!(Vin being my nickname) He said in an almost Captain Jack voice and we all had a great laugh out of it. Needless to say it stuck! The avatar is of course the Skyfall AT one of my favorite Omegas.

And after reading through these posts I'm glad to see I'm not the only Who Dat from NOLA in here!
