After doing 5 mins of where is waldo trying to find watches in the pic, there is none. disappointed to say the least 馃槈
Yeah, but it's him alright, notice the BMW magazine, the MacBook Pro touch on the floor and the portrait of Trev on the wall! His watch probably just rolled under the couch.

That really was a great watch that I miss quite a lot, though not the crown that thing was so tight that it stripped all the skin off my thumb and pointer finger while trying to wind it so many times due to how stiff the crown seal was.

Bunch of wusses...you need to wind watches to the point where the callouses on the thumb and index finger are so thick you look forward to winding one of those SM300's with the impossible crown just to wear off a bit of the excess (I just pumiced mine this morning). By the way your story reminds me of all my wife's friends from high school - they all tell similar stories about their "huge nights" when we go back to Australia for a visit. They have never grown out of it...me I hate throwing up more than just about anything, so I'm a little more careful and know when to stop...

I think that operationally the older style crown was much better, no problem with the seal. Yes, the new one is a bugger, makes movement very difficult .

And my movements are fine too - try eating lots of salad, prunes, fish oil and some Metamucil...all does wonders...

This is way better than the "what Rolex should I buy" or "Can I swim with a whatever watch" threads. 馃憤馃憤馃憤馃憤馃憤

Puking is great exercise. Each heave is roughly equivalent to 5 or 6 sit-ups. 馃槣

Should one wear an Omega PO Deep Black or Rolex Green/Hulk sub (might match the overall look better) when when one pukes, Al?馃槈 Which one is more corrosion resistant if I slip and end up "swimming"in my own puddle of creamy sliced carrots? I suppose a steel bracelet option would be better? Do share you pearls of wisdom....馃榾

What you need is a friend to hold your arm out of the way - you know like girlfriends who hold each other's hair out of the way when they engage the technicolour yawn...a good WIS friend will hold your watch arm out of the stream while you chuck. 馃榿

Don't forget, Ash, the way to stop the room spinning is to keep one foot flat on the floor while lying on the bed, stops the room spinning dead set. Well, most of the time...

Wonderful advice Archer...hope during my drunken stupor that I can communicate in time to request emergency assistance...but now your vivid description means I can't work properly remembering a wild party in Rio many years ago where there were several ladies inclined to engage in yawning and holding their hair back as well.

Wasn't that the reason why they moved into 904L? Corrosion resistance?

At least I can pretty much understand what the heck Ash is posting about. The last PWI answer I read a few nights ago on TRF required 20 minutes and a dictionary to decipher. This was the reply from a Seller (who has since been banned) to a buyer who purchased a Submariner with a supposed Matte dial but instead discovered that the said Matte dial was switched onto a much newer watch.

" I had a very long diatribe mostly written out and read and re-read it again and again..adding all the while.
but the more I lament on the audacity of the querant ,or rather the crass and superciliousness intwined by his debauchery of the brotherhood spirit that has permeated our small super-continental club ala Rolex.
Our trading practice is almost exclusively built upon a fine layer of blind trust.,.
in my truest sense I am more amazed that a seemingly decent gent weould first ask me to break the laws of his beloved country by deceiving her of the amount of currency spent on the watch(therefor allowing him to scurt by tax free virtually)
then to not ask,but TELL ME what my course of actiopn will be..
he would probably want hios shipping fee back.
after he has worn the watch for a year plus..no telling what type of devious changes where yundertaken..a man whop will cohearse a seller to lie to their tax collector (or else they will unfprtunately have to go with another seller)seemingly wouldnt be too far from other animus nocendi..these things are surely uncomfortable to discuss yes..but is he not the originator of a tactic commonly used to antagonize and basically to bribe into giving in to any demand whether good or bad..
a customer of this type is no longer appealing to me,especially given the fact that I am no longer in a state of financial in limine..
so,this undoubtedly will not sit well with the antagonist and his gang of electron soldiers..
but am quite comfortable in my stance against bullies and preponderate business tactics.. "

The last two pages of the thread were from forum members attempting to translate what the heck was written by the Seller. 馃槈

All the Best.

Pretty sure that seller is on a retainer to draft notices from banks in Nigeria...
