Very nice (although I like the back more than the front), but for that kind of scratch the NTTD 300M gets my money all day long before this.

I hope less people likes it so its easy for me to get one. Its a really cool piece.

Omega will make as many of these as people are willing to buy, so the only question is how long would you have to wait to take delivery and that will depend on factors like supply chain, artificial throttling (which Omega has never done in the past), your location, etc.

Is this only me, or would you agree that this will allow to fit the Apollo 11th Bracelet (or another, yet to come bracelet of the next Speedmaster regular model with 3861)? Notice the "lip" at 6 o'clock.

And it seems to be a different case overall (and thicker, see the stepped case underside).

Unless Omega took a trick from the JLC Reverso, I can't see too many taking their watch off while engaged on said toilet so they can marvel at the automata on the back. It's a nice touch but a bit of a bind that part of what makes it unique is not visible on the wrist. I suppose that is the same for display backs too though.

If the owner can't be bothered to take it off their wrist to marvel at the back whilst at on the crapper, well they don't deserve one.

Hi all
Whilst I think it is an attractive watch and am happy that its not a LTD Edition so that all that want one can get one I really don't think its for me. I also don't see it coming anywhere near close to my DSOM Apollo 8 and am amazed it is so much more expensive than it what with it being a stainless steel watch even with the new movement and special case back. Compared to a fully Ceramic watch with a laser ablated movement on both sides and stellar lume as well as a lumed bezel and crown. But each to his/her own and I hope all that want one can get it.

Don't deserve a crapper? Seems a bit harsh! Oh the watch, I see!

I really don't think that this one has any LUME at all.

LUME is not on the features list.

No LUME might be a deal breaker. Every Moonwatch has to have LUME.

The lume will be exactly the same as on the Tokyo Speedmasters.

interesting about the notch - would be nice to fit a A11 bracelet!

The case is a faithful reproduction of the 105.012 case which had that step

Well, I may not be picking one up immediately but with the release not being limited I hope to be able to pick one up next year, a good looking watch IMHO.

No it didn't.

Adding the A11 bracelet (if it's a direct fit) means another $700, so now we are talking $10,300 + sales tax in the US. Now it's getting to the point of this, or just putting more cash on the line and waiting it out for an Ed White 321. In my view the 321 is a lot more serious watch.

"Omega have too many LEs", "LEs are just a lame cash grab" --- "Won't buy this because it's not LE"

::facepalm1::

I personally think it's a beautiful watch. If I wasn't extending the house next year then this would be on the list without hesitation. Blue is my favourite colour and don't own a panda dial watch yet. Love pointless complications so the case back is very desirable. When I want utility I wear my X-33. For joyous pleasure, my mechanicals.

Maybe the Snoopy III is just the first watch to have the new (regular 3861) Speedy case? Why else would Omega bother to add lips for a bracelet?

Not a step ?

Are you talking about the CB66 case lug bevel line? Not sure what that has to do with the case notch seen on the 50th but not on any earlier Pro case.

I think this is exactly what is going on. You will see this case on the updated speedy.

Are you talking about the CB66 case bevel facet? Not sure what that has to do with the case notch seen on the 50th but not on any earlier Pro case.

I was referring to the step on the back - maybe there was some confusion.

Not the facet, ignore the red line, I pulled the pic from speedmaster101

I was on about the step around the case between the case back and case. Not the lip for the new bracelet connection.

I think it will increase in price as Omega chases Rolex into the higher-end luxury market through the introduction of a more sophisticated product. The fact that it’s not an LE is immaterial. Rolex doesn’t do LEs but that hasn’t stopped GMT, Submariner, Daytona models from going ballistic. This watch is arguably better than those.

i love this idea that all a watch company has to do to "be Rolex" is raise prices

it hasn't worked for a single other watch brand I can think and it ain't gonna work for Omega / Swatch
