Good evening. I am after recommendations for an independent watchmaker to service my beloved SMP 2531.80. Last time she was serviced was almost 7 years ago and she just began running fast. Before that she was with absolute accuracy ( below 5 sec/monthly). Caliber is 1120( basically 2892A2 with some decorations and tweaks). I wish no cosmetic enhancements ( i.e. polishing/brushing) or parts change if not functionally necessary. Which brings me to the point - are they able to source Omega parts? I will be happy for your recommendations and feedback. With kind regards. Dimi
I can only recommend @ChrisN https://cjnwatch.co.uk/wp/about/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/chrisn-cjnwatch-co-uk-best-watchmaker-i’ve-ever-used.94338/ Cheers
Apologies for butting in OP - I see from Chis' website he is not taking on customers until 2021 - not sure if anyone has other recommendations?

Yes and no. Not directly from Omega unless the watchmaker has an Omega parts account,. But there are still parts on the open market that can be found. It will really depend on what parts your watch needs, and what happens to be available on the open market. The "tweaks" you mention to turn the 2892A2 into the 1120, are fairly substantial in some cases, and some parts are simply not interchangeable between the two movements. Cheers, Al
