When I lived on one of the coastal islands (off Vancouver) we had propane for cooking and the fireplace. I used to blow up when I saw what it cost to get that big propane tank filled. So the opposite of your issue I guess 馃槄. I鈥檓 glad you鈥檙e okay,

Wow... what a story. So glad you're ok @impalla62ss
Glad you are OK, terrible stuff gas, I wont have it in my home but I do in my apartment in China mainly because there was little alternative.

This article from a recent ( 4 years ago ) house gas event in my city https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/chris...sman-stung-212000/G27SNGUQYWXDSGK4GOP2PTQEMA/
It's just for cooktop style burners though, right? there's not an oven and other parts like on the western setups indoors. Those are the ones that concern me since there's places for gas to collect without being as obvious, and much more complexity/plumbing involved.

Thanks Trev. It had a cooktop and a gas oven. The cooktop was the source.

Had the same issue they charge more in my area if the propane only feeds the stove as the only come out once a year depending on how big your tank is. Once in a while I鈥檇 look at that big tank on the side of the house and wonder if it blew how much of my house would be left. Despite that occasional worry it seems invisible bacteria is more likely to take me out but life is often a coin toss it seems.

Relieved to read that you're ok and came out of the incident without issues. Gas accidents are no joke! I don't use gas in my kitchen because of stuff like that. We use electricity, with all the pros and cons that brings.

And I agree with previous comments, I would try some less aggressive methods before a dishwasher.
