·Hello all, I am happy to report that I am alive and well after a propane explosion in my kitchen. Came as close to cashing in my chips as it comes. Standing in front of the stove and the flash is the last thing I remember until waking up from an induced coma. I somehow made it to my bedroom and shut the door. I have no memory of this. I had no burns on my body, but I had a badly burned breathing pathway and severe carbon monoxide poisoning. All and all somebody was looking after me. Alarm system alerted the fire department and there was a quick response. It really was a series of fortunate events. I am healing well, and and am back to my normal blood oxygen. I have good insurance and things are progress. I have been absent for a bit and wanted to check in.
Watches were all in the back of the house and were not damaged. Least of my worries, I know. They all smell a little smokey though. Any qualms about putting screw-down crowns in the dishwasher? I have seen this question a million times in the past, but was not able to unearth anything on the search. I will use a mild detergent and a small amount of TSP-PF (an industrial cleaner that is good for odors) to clean the non-screw down crowns. Any tips on protecting the crown while gently scrubbing and rinsing the watches. They will be rinsed with a slow stream of hot water and not immersed.
Anyway glad to be here today, thanks all.
