The watch on the right is related to the Omega Marine Standard (pdf article by David Boettcher at the link). The case itself is perhaps considered the second generation of waterproof cases produced for a rectangular watch, here developed by Frédéric Baumgartner of Geneva, who also went on to produce watch cases for Patek among others. The case uses a clip-back design to clamp an inner case and outer case together with a gasket in between.

@X350 XJR shows off a much nicer example of that watch in this thread:

And for those who are interested in the Omega version, here are a few small-watch threads worth your time:

Thank you, very interesting -I had forgotten about that special closure. I actually bid on a nice black one but was outbid by a dealer who’s now been trying to sell it for 1300 dollars on Ebay. It’s been sitting there for at least 10 months already.

It's interesting to see the variety of patina, as well as the wonderful dials.
@bubba48 , are the hands on this one radium? I've been assuming the shiny lume was new lume.

Like the fabled Tortoise and the Hare, Luigi has opened an early and large lead, but I intend to close the gap, one watch at a time... 😁

I have 2:

When the Gruen arrived, it was the cutest little watch I had held. The Cyma is tinier.

Photos don't do justice to the Gruen. The dial is very plain, but has an odd quality, like a slight translucency, that makes it interesting.
