I've had a search, and can't find a thread on the topic of small (30-34mm) watches with radium dials (although if it's in here somewhere, please forgive me), so thought this might be a fun thing to talk about.

There seem to be a lot of these little guys hanging out on the internet, looking for new homes, and I know that there are a good few members with a love for these little radioactive gems from the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

I'll kick thinks off with this 32/33mm Savillon, which contains a 17 jewel Enicar movement.

It's got a steel case, with screw in back, which claims that it was antimagnetic and waterproof at some point, it's time keeping is erratic, it has a bright red sweep second hand which makes me smile, and it was bought for beer money.

    So who's got what?

Going to tag @Syrte in, because I'm sure I've seen some goodies she's posted which fit the bill! :)

Very good idea. This type of specific thread can be interesting, of course, but also very useful as a reference, so I encourage contributors to note case sizes!

As I have small wrists, I own a few nice ones. Here is a sweet 32mm Lemania:

    That's handsome @Marty McDawg!

Looks kinda chunky, is it in the 30-34mm range? I thought these were 35/36? ::confused2::

Suspect I am the only person who owns a Breitling 46mm World …and finds it slightly ‘ bijoux ‘

Can just about get away with a Rolex Precision Oysterdate @ 34mm …but nothing smaller B13CF80A-9144-45DA-A641-2F9D7354842B.jpeg

I know, I know. Tell me about it. It’s quite ridiculous. I didn’t realize how larg it was til I got this Omega. I’m starting to think 34-42 is my sweet spot.

I have this to offer, a Langel, I picked up at a boot sale for about £10. Relumed hands, but what can you do (32mm) P2250371.JPG

I also had this really nice Cyma, which I regret letting go of. 34mm from what I can remember, sold it for next to nothing.

I had no idea these were radium dials, but I do know that this little (31mm) Camy belonged to my Grandfather who was chief quality inspector at the Castle Bromwich Spitfire factory in Brum during the war.

The watch on the right is related to the Omega Marine Standard (pdf article by David Boettcher at the link). The case itself is perhaps considered the second generation of waterproof cases produced for a rectangular watch, here developed by Frédéric Baumgartner of Geneva, who also went on to produce watch cases for Patek among others. The case uses a clip-back design to clamp an inner case and outer case together with a gasket in between.

@X350 XJR shows off a much nicer example of that watch in this thread:

And for those who are interested in the Omega version, here are a few small-watch threads worth your time:
