Back from service, with a new (to the watch) set of hands, complete with the (previously missing!) tail on the sweep second, minus the last few flakes of radium that were handing on to the hands.

Crown, with a Bidynator, around 33mm. It’s at my local WM for a bit of tune up.

You guys have some beautiful pieces! I've enjoyed looking...BUT I assume you guys have no concern with Radium? I'd like to understand your thinking because Radium lume (as you know) would open up many fun options.

The risks from watches with intact cases and crystals, stored with adequate ventilation, are extremely small. Good common-sense is also important (e.g. don't sleep with them, use great caution when working with old radium, etc.).

There have been many threads on the topic.

I've had a search, and can't find a thread on the topic of small (30-34mm) watches with radium dials (although if it's in here somewhere, please forgive me), so thought this might be a fun thing to talk about.

There seem to be a lot of these little guys hanging out on the internet, looking for new homes, and I know that there are a good few members with a love for these little radioactive gems from the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

I'll kick thinks off with this 32/33mm Savillon, which contains a 17 jewel Enicar movement.

It's got a steel case, with screw in back, which claims that it was antimagnetic and waterproof at some point, it's time keeping is erratic, it has a bright red sweep second hand which makes me smile, and it was bought for beer money.

So who's got what?

Going to tag @Syrte in, because I'm sure I've seen some goodies she's posted which fit the bill! 😀
