I had a custom strap made by the company that does the OEM...it was 1/2 the price. Just email them at [email protected]

Love love love Jean Rousseau. I knew that they were the OEM for most of Omega's straps (the FOIS strap can basically be ordered right from their website) but I didn't realize they could custom make straps. Good to know!

Nice strap and watch. I knew about the custom options but ever emailed them yet. Did you just get a buckle or did you get a custom option that fits the explorers bracelet clasp almost like a rubber b or Everest?

I got their buckle. They said if I sent mine they could fit it, I wish I would have done that.

@StreetTuff I emailed Jean Rousseau and they said "Unfortunately we are unable to make it in a shorter size. We have 1 size available in 2 different widths, 20/18 and 21/18." Were you able to get a shorter strap made from them? I'm not sure why they couldn't because Omega makes a short version of this strap and I thought they were the original manufacturers for their straps.

Maybe they meant that is what they have in stock? When they made mine I believe it was from scratch, all I gave them was the size of my wrist and the custom made it for me.

This is what Jean told me about the straps a few months ago. I’m thinking shipping would have been $20, so a total of $270.

I believe the Aston Martin/snoooy straps are around $325-$350 can someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your inquiry. I have a question: do you want the rubber around the pinholes, or just a Cordura nylon strap? If you want the rubber, the cost is $250 and those straps are made in France. For this type of strap we generally need the reference number on the back of the strap. For the shipping cost, I would need to inquire and would need your full address.

If you want just the Cordura and no rubber, we can make the strap in here in New York and the cost is $215. Shipping is $10. We have an on-line order form that you can fill out. Cordura is not an option, but you can just write the color you want in the notes.

And I asked her the pros and cons to the rubber pinholes, here was her response.

Having rubber around the pinholes does make the strap more durable since cordura is a woven fabric it can snag when putting the pin through the pinholes. We do seal the fabric with heat inside the pinholes, but overtime this will wear off.

I got my Speedmaster at the end of the December. While I liked the bracelet, it wasn't quite the best fit. So I started looking at alternatives.

After looking at endless threads on watch straps for the Speedy, I opted to go with the silver snoopy strap. They clasp and strap cost an arm and a leg, but were well worth it in my opinion. 😀

Good choice! I chose the same strap for my SMP...actually I chose it twice...opted for a shorter length to keep it neater. Stupidly expensive, but then again, I bought two of them.... 😉

Would I be correct in saying that the Aston Martin strap is more rounded/fitted at the lugs than the Snoopy? Always appears that way. Also what is the reference for that one please(Aston Martin)? Would like to order that one for my ST at some point.

It would be correct, as the Aston Martin cordura strap has a larger hard foam/plastic insert than the Silver Snoopy strap. Generally straps that come with/for the Speedy Pro are more straight-ended than the ones for the AT since the Speedy Pro is a more traditional design and thus a larger gap between case and strap matches.

The AT Aston Martin strap is CWZ004526.

Thanks for the info. From pics I've seen the AM looks better on a smaller wrist due to being more shaped. One last question, is there a shorter version aswell, add with the Snoopy Strap? Oh and one more, it's it the same price?

Thanks again.

Don't think there's an Omega model number for a shorter version, which is a shame since the cordura fits larger than other deploy straps with the same lengths. But you can order them custom directly from the maker in shorter lengths.
And of course the short version are the same prices as the regular length ones. Who do you think Omega is, Mother Theresa?

Did I miss the Snoopy strap part number?
I think I like this better than a NATO because it won’t add height under the watch.

Haha, I meant the same price as the Snoopy strap.

Has anyone found a strap that looks just like this strap but for a price that makes sense? And I'm sure most of you know the Omega clasp can be replaced with any number of others for a very good price.

I ended up getting mine from Jean R. In NYC directly and they did have the shorter size. I think I paid around 260? Where can I find a good quality Omega style deplyant clasp for good price like you referenced? I got one off the bay but don't like the quality. Would appreciate any recommendations vintagestuff.
