I'm in the UK. I've paid a deposit with an Omega boutique. They've no idea when they'll receive their allotment of Silver Snoopy Spedmasters... All they say is that they'll let me know when they hear anything and keep repeating how very sorry they are...

Why do some people have theirs and not others? If it's a manufacturing issue, how have they managed to release so many already? Can ANYONE shed any light on this?

I agree. I want to also point out that there are REPLICAS already appearing online so its possible some of these videos purporting to be official orders are actually knock offs. If there was a manufacturing issue (as I heard something about them having problems with the enamel baseback) surely it would affect ALL the stock as you say?

Well, if there is a manufacturing issue then it probably does affect them all. Doesn't mean they produce zero product though. Say they planned to produce 100 per week and now due to an issue they can only produce 10, then ALL the stock took ten times longer to produce. Meaning fewer people have them yet. I have no idea if they have an issue of course.

Personally I think its more a logistical problem I.e they have been caught out by the huge demand/interest in this one and perhaps have overallocated and are just sorting it out

Stopped in the local OB to swap a smaller band on to my wife's Snoopy. An SA informed me that they have changed how they will allocate Snoopy watches going forward. OBs are prioritizing their wait list (no deposits) by clients who have purchased multiple pieces.

I ordered the snoopy for eight months ago in Shanghai, but Omega in shanghai said there are delays in the productions when i picked it up. They received 8 pieces, where I was one of those who got one. They would receive more in January 😀 Just the biggest AD´s have received the snoopy so far!

Just got this from AD

"

As to the date of delivery, I received an email from the the head of Omega in the UK on Tuesday and he suggested that there has been a problem with the manufacturing of the caseback. As a consequence, it is likely to come in to us next year. As to when next year, we have not had any specific dates, though we have been assured we will get one."

Sooooo glad I didn't put a deposit on this back in April. If I had given up close to $8k and had to wait over a year for this piece I would be furious.

So basically by paying deposits you are finansing their business! Wow, makes a great increase in profitmargin to postpone shipments....::rimshot::

I had the same message but am awaiting explanation as to what the problem is, given they seem to have manufactured those already delivered without any obvious difficulty.
Given that Omega can create watch cases, crowns and pushers from super-heated ceramic granules, I'd have thought melting some powdered glass, sprinkling some dust on it and sticking on a silver cartoon dog shouldn't be beyond them.

I thought the exact same thing. Must be more to it than that perhaps they're not telling us/materiel unavailable or something. However this does all add to the hype surrounding it

As to furious customers... yep, I know @Omegawd is pretty PO'ed, as are the 6 or so clients in Orange County still waiting. I think its time Omega step up and do a little client relationship management (goodies, discounts, apologies). Remember though, Omega did not force anyone to put down a deposit, they simply informed clients, if you don't, we won't have any later. I have no problem with that.
