I like my Polaris very much. Often thought of buying the bracelet. I may yet do so!

I can only advice the bracelet 👍 it very comfortable and in my opinions suits the watch very much.
But think good about it as they are stupid expensive, and if you want one for real you might want to hurry up as they increased the prices few weeks ago, you might still get one at an old price.
I purchased the ss bracelet for my polaris date, as this is my all time favourite watch at the moment and i cant get enough of wearing it 🥰
Now i have a lot of options to choose from 🤦

Edit: and btw. that Polaris on dirty Omega NATO is called JLO 😁 thanks to @eugeneandresson for the nickname

This one is way too narrow in lugs, that looks quite bad in my humble opinion 🙁
Yeah only 2 of 5 straps are 21mm, the other ones are 20mm. Unfortunatelly 21mm size is really not easy to find in setup that i like.
Honestly the gaps are only that clear in a zoomed in photos, on the wrist i hardly notice, so not a big deal for me 👍

Here is the 21mm ones

Yeah, when the width fits the lugs well it's a different story.

I finally received this almost two weeks ago but have not have time to show it off properly as my daughter was visiting for a couple of weeks. I purchased this watch 12 months ago but due to multiple circumstances was unable to receive until now.
I am very happy (insert ecstatic) to be able to show off my 50th anniversary JLC Polaris from 2018.

How I purchased, complete with all boxes, paperwork and warranty card:

After the purchase I had a custom stingray strap made as well as ordering another black and blue strap(not really OCD😉).

and the glamour shots😀

While I'm waiting for my Reverso to arrive tomorrow, I wore this tonight to get into the rectangular phase of my watch experiences. It is slighty smaller than the Reverso Classic, but still looks good on the wrist. The dial only gives the name Alf Lie...a retailer and watch maker for about 180 years is Oslo Norway. But the movement he used is the LeCoultre Duo Plan...a miniature clock style movement, hence it winds and sets at the back. Case is 18k. Dial is very worn...but not enough to consider restoring...and it is original. Winds and sets smoothly, keeps very good time, probably from the early 1930s.

The Reverso has landed. I can only say that if you find yourself dealing with Burdeen's in Buffalo Grove, Il., you should expect to be very happy. First I opened the two outer cardboard boxes...and then I found this. I'll take it to JLC this week to try and pinpoint when it was first sold. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

When my watches are due for factory service, that’s where I’ll go. They are a fine AD and jeweler with a nice preowned business. Love the two tone!

Searching all over the internet, I only found 3 in two tone. One was a classic...but I wanted a second hand. Another was just like this but with an enormous engraving on the back of the watch. The third was this one. I am enjoying it completely.

I’m gonna inquire. My black gator is a tad too dressy.

May we see your black gator? They were the original strap on many models.

Despite the bad rep two-tone watches get sometimes, the Reverso is a perfect example that it can be done in a tasteful manner. Great find John!!! Hope you are enjoying it as much as I am the pictures 😀

Went by the JLC Boutique in Beverly Hills today to get a new strap. The ostrich strap that came with the watch had deep water (sweat?) stains and I really wanted to give the watch a fresh start with me. The staff were all very courteous, everyone in the store took the time to introduce themselves to me. Their young watch repairman came out and did the same...looked at the almost 90 year old LeCoultre Duo Plan that I brought with me, and he remembered and knew the gentleman who cleaned and replaced the mainspring almost ten years ago. I then fell under the spell of the Thin line models...all in rose gold...about $20k new. Very very nice. I'll start looking for a preowned one.

Travel clock from Amiens in 1944 and every possibility it may have already been posted somewhere in this thread, if so my apologies.
