I have owned this 2007 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Date, since the Summer of 2023, at which point I sent it off to Jaeger-LeCoultre for a service, and purchased a custom Strap Tailor 19mm "hermes" strap and a 16mm Jaeger-LeCoultre buckle.

In the months since, I have been on a bit of rip, buying other watches that fill the same niche as this one (a nice daily wearer that fits under a shirt sleeve in the City), and this beautiful JLC has sat in the safe.

In the interests of putting some money back in my bank, and getting this watch some well deserved wear, I have decided that it is time to let it go.

This is the first iteration of Jaeger-LeCoultre's Master Control Date, introduced in the late 1990s, updated in 2002 to have a Super Luminova dial and hands, and then discontinued in 2007 when the larger 40mm model was released.

It has a three part (bezel, mid, back) high polish stainless steel case, with an 18ct gold medallion on the caseback.

The lugs are 19mm, and it is supplied with the original bracelet and endlinks, which should fit up to approximately a 7" wrist.

I have an 8" wrist, so rather than pay £230 per link for additional links, I bought a 16mm JLC buckle (£165) from the Bond Street Boutique, and a custom made 19mm XL strap in "hermes" calfskin leather from David at the Strap Tailor - both the strap and the buckle will come with the watch, they have had 5-10 wears in total.

It was serviced by JLC in Switzerland in 2010, and again in June 2023.

The June 2023 service includes a 24 month warranty, which runs until June 2025. At this service, the watch received a full mechanical service, a case clean and polish, and a new crown. The bracelet was ultrasonically cleaned, but not polished.

I have taken photos on a full frame Canon (raw, undedited), so hopefully all the details that you can't even see with the naked eye are on show, including two very small nicks to the left side of the mid-case, which were too deep to polish out.

Please take a good look at the photos (and ask for more if you need them) as they form part of the description.

I am looking for £3,500 plus shipping - looking around at what is on offer globally, and considering the bracelet, which is hard to come by and tends to sell for £600plus on its own, comes with the watch, I think this this a fair price, but I am willing to talk if you have a sensible offer.

I am not looking for trades - the purpose of this sale is to put cash back into my savings account!

Watch is located in London, and City of London, in person viewings are possible.

Had a few similar questions from a few different people, so adding in the details here:

1 - JLC do not provide any information about timing/accuracy with the service paperwork. What you see in the pictures is what you get. They do not give the watch back to you if it isn’t running to spec!

2 - the two dings I mention them not being able to polish out are incredibly hard to see with the backed eye, the larger you can feel with a fingernail.

here is the smaller at approx 10x zoom, and the larger at approx 20x zoom of the original images:
