Constellation 14381-10SC

That's a very sweet and original looking Seamaster

Thanks, it is one of two watches I wish I'd never sold. (Apart from the fact that I really wish I'd never sold any of the watches I've sold!).

Here's the other one from another recent thread. This one's gold (pink gold) capped too thinking about it so it should be here anyway!

This Omega does not have a gold capped case. It is electro-plated, 20 microns thick. Typical gold capped cases have at least 10 times the gold of this example.

2852, be careful not to cut your fingers condition.

My NOS Pobeda is like that. The corners of the lugs so pristine and sharp I found I could trim my fingernails with them.
That's one fine looking watch you have there.

I have a few "Rolled Gold Plate" watches. These seem to have a fairly thick layer of gold sandwiching an alloy center.

When looking up the Paul Peugeot brand I found he originally only used solid gold cases.
An old detective film I watched recently really dated itself when one character said "Have you got any idea what gold goes for these days? Thirty five dollars an ounce!".
