20% off the regular, yes, but i think the regular is 10% off?
I guess it depends on model. I bought my Seamaster when they were having an additional 20% of sale but the final price was 37% off the retail price of $4900 listed on the Omega website.

Edit: I just checked. The Seamaster on rubber is the same price I paid. $3231.20. A smoking deal. If they had some of the smaller Planet Ocean models for the same price as the 44mm models I would be sorely tempted.

I remember when i got mine last year and a sale was going on I called customer service and told them about the sale and they gladly gave me back the difference(400 usd)

Call me crazy but when did AAFES started to sell pre owned Rolexes? Wuuttt

Imagine if they started doing brand new ones it would be game over!

I got this for $3232 three weeks ago. I think the sale was only for 24 hours.

Beautiful timepiece which they just had on sale this past Saturday as the deal of the day. Luckily was able to come across the sale and bought with 15 minutes to spare. Checked back at midnight and they went back to the AAFES original price. So, in the end the price came to be 20% off from the AAFES original discounted price of $4,039 which is still $960 below Omega's MSRP.

BTW, how long did it take for you to get it? I selected store pick up so hopefully it won't take too long.

Saw that. Selection isn’t as good this year. Last year had all the colors in the bracelet as well as Speedies. I’m wearing one I bought last year as I type this…

Noticed a few weeks ago they aren’t carrying Tag or Hamilton watches.

yeah, stock seems to vary a lot. These promotions happen every quarter, 20% for a day each quarter and 25% on BF. Idk if they’ll restock those brands eventually but I’m sure they will.

If this doesn’t have the selection you want just try again in June.

They briefly had the Speedmasters around this time last year. I would have pulled the trigger on that had I known they’d disappear.

Fyi, Omega sale on now. These middle of the week random sales sometimes disappear fast. Like one day sometimes.

Btw, sign up for Milstar card and get additional 15% off first purchase, which includes sale items like these watches. You'll need to get customer service to give you your number so you can apply it as it takes a month to get your card.

Good luck.

Edit: just saw that it's one day only. Includes some others like Oris and Longines

AAFES has the hesalite Speedmaster in stock in both bracelet and strap. It is only slightly cheaper than an AD or boutique, but, it's available for order.

This could indicate that the Speedmaster is more available worldwide. It suggests to me that stock restrictions may be loosening.

Hello fellow watch fans!!!!

New here, been looking at POs for quite some time.

Recently found out aafes has some and as a veteran I can utilize aafes online.

I’m thinking this might be a great solution for me to get into a PO and not deal in the grey market.

Got verified for aafes Saturday and saw the 021530442101001 for $4716.

I then started researching and was under the false impression that an additional 20% off could be had during a sale. Come to find out I happened to land on the aafes site during a sale that is now over.

I’m looking for advice on the best possible deal and timing to buy an Omega from aafes.

I heard they are 25% off on Black Friday and I could potentially get another 10% off by signing up for the aafes credit card. Can anyone elaborate on this the process and how to make it happen? 35% off really puts this at a good price point for me.

Thanks I’m advance.
G.

The Military Star card 10% discount has been a regular feature. Pretty much guaranteed. It works on your first purchase no matter how much you buy. Sometimes they increase it to 15%. You do not need to buy the same day that you get approved, but can wait for a sale. They do not mind that you use it on a sale.

The 25% is not guaranteed. It has happened and could happen again. Most sales are connected to a holiday, but sometimes are one day random events. Watching this over the last several years this is what I have noticed.

They also sell out on occasion. I have missed a watch because there were none left.

It pays to be patient. This is definitely the best time of year for a 20 or 25% sale. However, they don't do more than one a quarter or even less. You might wait another 6 months.

They've only recently had the hesalite moonwatch and they have been limited on references.

If you don't see a 25% between now and end of year, it may not happen for awhile. I have called customer service and a couple times they told me of an upcoming sale but also said they don't know. I haven't figured out how they decide.

If you wait for 25 but see a 20%, you could wait a long time, like a year. It may not be worth bragging rights for that last few percentage.

Good luck.

pdxleaf,

Thanks for the info!

The credit discount fine print states "First Day" purchases. Is it more accurately "First Purchase"? Because it does not say anything about an approval timeline on the star card or whatever it is. Seems that could make timing a sale difficult. lol. I'd hate to miss out on 10% off over some fine print. I'm also assuming I'd have to make the purchase with the star card to get the 10% off not just apply for the card.

Sorry for all the questions, if I go this route I'd like to not mess it up.

It's 10% off the first time you use it. So you could buy a watch, a blender and a couch and get 10% off the whole purchase as long as you buy them in the same purchase while using your new mil star card. You can wait until the next sale to use your card, even if it's six months away. They used to have 0% interest for year too. Don't hesitate to call customer service. I was looking for the catch when I did it. They told me how to get the biggest discount out of it. I bought my retirement 1861 Speedmaster from AAFES years ago. Still my favorite forever watch.

You can get an additional $100 off if you sign up for their email list. (It says 10% up to 100.) That might come and go.

I don't know if we'll see 25% again. Omega raised prices and cut dealers margins, or that's what some friends who know dealers told me. Possible, just less likely is my guess.

They had some Oris up to 30% off. You might look at those.

Someone's getting some nice presents this year!😁

One other thing to take into consideration as well is that their listed prices will fluctuate as well. I believe about a month or so ago they raised their standard price on a few of the watches. Right now is also the best selection I have seen from them over the last year or so as well.
