I know this is about aafes and watches but beware they don’t always have the best prices on everything. Years ago when looking for a stereo, aafes $799 on sales for $699. Exact same system at Sears $699 on sale for $599. Aafes wants you to think they have the best prices on everything, they don’t. Just an off topic tangent. Sorry.

2020 feb I got sea master gray Dial love it . Had my wife get new affess card to get extra 10% and hit super sale so was about $2960 no tax. Such a good deal. I have gone into a few AD’s. The one in San Diego was super nice and gave my watch a little extra Calibration. There tech messed with it a little and got it to +2 sec a day. Pretty cool they gave me a print out. Omega boutiqueswill have all models 20% off veterans Day and memorial day but it’s word of mouth. Some one on here was saying they might restock the out going moonwatch. I don’t think that will happen pretty sure it’s done. Would love to see the new moony on here. Don’t think we will ever see anything like a snoopy or titanium James Bond but we can hope. The omega store was flabbergasted when I told them what I paid. I just bought a gray blue nato from them looks great was $170 with buckle but super nice. Also sent in my bracelet to service through the omega Boutique $30 to polish and make new again 1 week turn around.

Very true but the Omega watches on the right kind of sale are a smoking good deal if you do it right

Selection isn’t as robust as it used to be. No SS 300m or Speedmasters.

I got lucky and was able to snag a blue SMP during this past sale. Unfortunately when it arrived, it was obvious that it had been used and then returned. The bracelet had been sized and the removed links were missing. All of the stickers had been removed and there were minor signs of wear on the clasp and bracelet. The was no shipping coffin or hang tag and the lining of the presentation box was dirty. So, back it goes for a refund. I'm really disappointed with their jewelry department as this is the third time I've had a problem getting a watch from AAFES 👎.

Thanks for this. I admit to being pleasantly surprised. I was hopeful but didn't expect to see them, at least not this soon.

They are listed at 10% below msrp, which is good these days. 20% comes around every 3 months or so. Every 3 to 6 months they offer new myexchange credit card holders a 15% off on their first purchase. So if you wait for the 15% to apply for the card, you can then delay using the card until the 20% sale is on. This will get the discount down to about 38%, which is probably dealer cost. And there is no reason to feel like you are abusing the system as I spoke with an AAFES customer service person who walked me through the details. If you already have the myexchange card, you can cancel it and reapply 90 days later and it will be treated like a new card, meaning you get the 1st time use credit. But you have to apply when they run the promotion, which is sometimes nothing or only 10%. Pay attention to tge timing. I also spoke to two different customer service people who would tell me when the next credit card promotions were scheduled. But they don't know about the regular sales, as they are scheduled weekly, typically around holidays. As we have seen, they will also drop a 20 % sale randomly for one day. Plus they tend to sell out of stock during the 20% sale.

Bottom line, it is possible to stack up discounts with some planning, luck and patience.

EDIT: just called customer service . In August they have scheduled a 15% first time purchase promotion. Meaning, apply for the card in August when they run the promotion, wait a few weeks for them to send you the card, then wait to use it until they run a 20 % off on Omegas. The weekly sales promotions get updated at midnight Friday so if you think it's a holiday that might have a 20% sale, check the site after midnight and buy it right away. I have seen popular models sell out fast, like black dialed Seamasters and the old speedmasters. These new 3861s will go fast during a sale. Nice thing is they get restocked but you may miss the sale.

Pretty good gouge, was just lurking on the new 3861. Since I have a current card and I’m under 90 days, options are cancel and hope another 15% runs around before another holiday or assume Labor Day is going to hit a discount and just take the 20% and be happy.

Yep. But it's still not bad without the kicker. However, if you can wait, the 3861s will be around for awhile. I worry about the 20% sales though. Not sure how long they have been doing that. Was it Covid that started it, or has it been longer? Maybe other members know. I only started watching AAFES after they allowed vets, which was recent. Still, hard to imagine stopping it anytime soon but it's still a guess unless anyone has more insight.

Good luck to all and happy hunting.

Same question here, is it usual for them to run 20% additional off Omega watches? Is that a more recent thing?

My anecdotal experience is that there have been maybe 6 20 % sales over the last year or so. Some last one day and a couple lasted longer but stock sells out. I don't know how they determine when.

My guess is that there will be more.

The speedmaster is not on the website last i looked but the customer service person said they had 100k in the warehouse stock. Who knows how accurate that is. I suspect they don't have physical inventory but instead plan to sell 100k of speedmasters. Again, just conjecture. High probability that there will be more sales and speedmasters, just infrequent.

The last sale was about 6 months ago, if my mental-OF-search function is correct.

I got this for $3232 three weeks ago. I think the sale was only for 24 hours.

Seems AAFES is now selling used Rolex.

Be careful, they are over priced and in poor condition. Kindof sad.
